You'll partner with firmware and hardware engineers to turn a largely manual build-and-test process into fast, repeatable, automated pipelines - from commit to validated firmware image.\nDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded firmware (build, static analysis, unit test, integration test, artifact management, and release).\nAutomate the build toolchain for cross-compiled embedded targets and keep builds reproducible across developer machines and CI runners.\nStand up and maintain test-automation infrastructure, including unit testing, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test rigs where applicable.\nIntegrate static analysis, code-quality, and coverage tooling into the pipeline and make results visible to the team.\nManage artifact versioning, release packaging, and traceability from source to deployed firmware.\nImprove build and test speed, reliability, and developer feedback loops.\nDocument the pipeline and test infrastructure so the team can use and extend it.\nCollaborate with firmware engineers to make code testable and to triage pipeline/test failures.\nYour Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related engineering field, with 3+ years experince in Embedded Software Devlopment. \nProven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar).\nHands-on experience with test-automation tools and frameworks.\nStrong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and comfort automating build/test tooling.\nExperience with version control (Git) and branching/release workflows.\nExperience building CI/CD for embedded software, OR a background/working familiarity with embedded software development (cross-compilation, toolchains, flashing/debugging target hardware).\nSolid troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across the software/hardware boundary.\nExperience building CI/CD or test automation specifically for embedded/firmware projects with hardware-in-the-loop testing. - Preferred \nFamiliarity with Texas Instruments C2000, Cortex-M85, and C29x DSP microcontrollers and the Code Composer Studio toolchain. - Preferred \nFamiliarity with EtherCAT and EtherNet (or other industrial fieldbus/real-time communication). - Preferred \nExperience with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code. - Preferred \nExposure to functional-safety or regulated-industry development processes and traceability. - Preferred \nExperience with static analysis and coverage tooling for C/C++. - Preferred \nMust be legally authorized to work in the US. \nOur Offering\nMedical, dental and vision insurance\nLife insurance and 401k eligible with up to 6% company match\nRegular employee appreciation and company events\nPlease see all our benefit offerings at Schaeffler Benefits\nAs a global company with employees around the world, it is important to us that we treat each other with respect and value all ideas and perspectives.
