You will be working independently for the most part, checking in via weekly sync meetings, which means you get the deep, uninterrupted focus time you need to build great software.\n\nYour Responsibilities:\n\nWrite clean, scalable, and maintainable backend and frontend code.\n\nDraft system design documents and architecture plans for new features.\n\nLead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for complex bugs.\n\nConduct code reviews, uphold engineering standards, and mentor junior developers.\n\nRequirements\nExperience & Education:\n\nA Graduate degree in Computer Science with 5+ years of software development experience, OR\n\nA Graduate degree in another STEM field with 10+ years of software development experience.\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\n3+ years of professional experience with Ruby OR Python. (Note: Our backend is RoR, but we welcome Python experts willing to adapt!).\n\n3+ years of professional experience with React (JavaScript or TypeScript).\n\nComfortable with basic AWS concepts, operations, and containerized deployments.\n\nSoft Skills & Work Style:\n\nHighly comfortable working independently and asynchronously, with minimal micromanagement (weekly syncs).\n\nFluent in written and spoken English.
