By joining us, you don’t just become part of our success story; you help shape the future and continue our rich legacy that started back in 1874.\nJoin us as a\nMechanical Engineer\nYour main responsibilities\nPRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW:\nPlan and implement fabrication and assembly of prototype components as determined by design complexity.\nInterprets requirements and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used.\nParticipate in change management activities within the supply chain organization.\nActively support global development and implementation activities as a technical resource.\nLead implementation/execution efforts related to new product and changes to existing product lines at our factory or within our vendor base.\nTechnical project management coordinator for non- and cross-functional project members / tasks\nLead cross-functional teams as required within a project.\nReview new product proposals and changes to existing product line materials.\nValidate the accuracy of manufacturing documentation and ensure quality of information to our manufacturing and vendor base.\nPropose, plan, implement, and support activities aimed at efficiency improvement and best in class manufacturing practices through process optimization and/or product development.\nAdheres to all safety procedures and company safety standards while working in the office, shop floor and installation sites.\nAdheres to the corporate compliance policy and ensures that behavior in the workplace is that of a responsible professional.\nWorks under general supervision, relies on limited instructions and pre-established guidelines.\nPerform special projects and other duties as assigned.\nUses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.\nContributes to a team environment.\nRequired travel: Less than 20%.\nWhat you bring\nMINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:\nBachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.\nFUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:\nMinimum 2 -4 years of related experience preferred.\nComprehension of general mechanical engineering concepts required.\nExperience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.\nPossess excellent customer service skills.\nDemonstrated experience of working in a team environment.\nPossess strong decision-making abilities.\nPossess effective verbal, written and presentation skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).\nDemonstrated experience in using computer-assisted design software such as PTC Creo and AutoCAD.\nDemonstrated experience with hands on assembly of mechanical equipment a plus.\nPossess the ability to closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the functions of the job.\nAbility to work with suppliers/3rd parties.\nExperience supporting manufacturing/field operations a plus.\nExperience with measurement equipment and quality control concepts.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nFully vested 401k match, up to 7% of total eligible compensation.\nCompetitive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans - Effective from first day of hire.\n3 weeks’ vacation which increases with tenure, 7 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 8 Company Observed Holidays.\nTuition Reimbursement - Eligible after 6 months of service.\nParental Leave - 100% base pay for 6 consecutive weeks within first year of a child’s birth or adoption.\nA wide range of development opportunities to boost your professional and leadership growth.\nWe Elevate… Your Career\nBecome part of our team, help us enhance quality of life and drive innovation while raising the bar for safety and sustainability.
