Schindler products can be found in many well-known buildings throughout Canada, including Scotia Plaza, Bay & Adelaide, Edmonton Arena, Calgary Airport, and Vancouver Canada Line.\nJoin us as a\nNew Installations and Modernizations Coordinator\nYour main responsibilities\nThe New InstallationsModernization Coordinator is responsible for managing and continuously improving support and coordination services for all New Installation and Modernization projects from award thru to close out. This will involve customer interaction, process management, and the detailed planning and organization of projects, including ordering construction related material, receiving parts, and conducting construction and modernization site visitations.\nResponsibilities\nAdministration\nAssist New InstallationModernization team in all aspects of their jobs, including processing project documentation, dealing with suppliers, field requests, and customer requests\nPrepare required documentation for New InstallationsModernization turn-over\nPrepare and send project documents, correspondence and manuals as required\nAttend construction meetings, prepare and distribute minutes\nEnsure project billings and vendor invoices are accurate\nAssist with collections\nMaintain technical and ISO databases\nFiling and other administrative duties\nProcess Management\nSupport bid and quotation process\nReview customer contracts to ensure they coincide with Schindler installation policies\nMonitor and update SAP and Project Planner to ensure all major project milestone dates are met\nAssist with coordinating and receiving material in warehouse, as well as coordinating shipping and deliveries to sites\nAssist with project cost control through the preparation, issuance and processing of contract change orders and the review of supplier invoices and construction crew time tickets to ensure accuracy and coding to proper accounts\nAssist with maintaining project milestones by assisting Sales with the approvals process\nPlan, monitor and control TSSA submission process to meet project schedule\nPlan and coordinate TSSA Inspections of all Projects\nCustomer Orientation\nCommunicate with customers both internal and external including general contractors, architects and other trades\nApply knowledge of Elevator and Building code requirements to respond to customer or architect inquiries\nAssist with turn-over to customers\nHealth and Safety\nParticipate in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings including researching of tabled issues, coordination of training activities, meeting minute distribution, and safety board maintenance\nAnnual review of field tooling and safety equipment requirements.\nModernization\nOrganize provincial Safety Authority directives and monitor their progress\nMonitor the modernization weekly labor plan and complete budget updates\nAssist with Modernization activities as required\nWhat you bring\nKnowledge\nBachelor’s degree - preferably in Business Administration or Engineering\nProficient in MS Office\nCommunication: Communicate clearly and articulately\nCustomer Service: Demonstrate customer focus through improving performance; Demonstrate commitment to customer service through improving customer satisfaction\nNegotiation: Ability to negotiate both persuasively and effectively in a tactful manner so as to gain customers’ acceptance\nPersuasion: Motivate customers to act or react in a manner to support business growth\nPresentation: Ability to present materials clearly and engage audience\nProblem Solving: Ability to fully understand the problem, assess responsibility, explore alternatives, develop creative solutions and negotiate settlements\nTeamwork: Ability to interact with all levels and be an integral part of the operation\nWhat’s in it for you?\nCompetitive Salary (commensurate with experience)\nCompetitive Bonus Incentive Program or Commission Plan\nWide range of professional and leadership development opportunities\nCompetitive Extended Health, Dental & Vision Plans\nGenerous Paid Time Off Plans\nTuition Reimbursement Program\nCompetitive Group RRSP with Company Match\nThe salary range for this position is $54,000 to $68,000 CAD.\nThis range represents base salary only and does not include bonus, incentive compensation, or benefits.
