By joining us, you don’t just become part of our success story; you help shape the future and continue our rich legacy that started back in 1874.\nJoin us as a\nTerritory Operations Manager Modernization\nYour main responsibilities\nYour main responsibilities\nThe Territory Operations Manager - Modernization will provide management of the company’s operational activities\nand functions relating to the modernization of existing elevators as well as partner with the Modernization Sales\nteam on all on portfolio and off portfolio sales opportunities within an assigned geographic span. Work will be\nfulfilled in a manner that achieves customer satisfaction as well as the strategic business objectives of the territory.\nDevelop and execute a business plan in support of the territory’s financial and non-financial objectives and\nsupport the implementation of territory Mod. operations initiatives.\nBuild and recommend an operational budget and manage expenditures within approved specifications for time\nand materials and other fixed assets including parts inventory, company tools, and vehicles for the most cost\neffective results.\nResponsible for managing networking capital via appropriate asset management measures and billing\nprocedures.\nDevelop and maintain strong commercial relationships with key customers, GCs and influential industry\nconsultants through personal contact and staff assignments.\nResponsible for managing, mentoring and leading a team of Field Superintendents by setting and clarifying\nemployee objectives, managing their ongoing performance and continuously developing their skills, all in an effort\nto drive the team to meet required financial targets/metrics and performance KPIs.\nLead the hiring and onboarding of all new Modernization Superintendents.\nInitiate procedures and leadership practices to create a business environment for participative management,\nmaintain high morale of subordinates and demonstrate strong support of Schindler’s cultural beliefs and best\npractices.\nEngage in pro-active labor relations with local business agents with the support of Schindler’s Labor Relations\nteam.\nSet expectations for Field Technician engagement and provide Superintendents with the support necessary to\nprovide ongoing training and performance management essential to productivity and quality improvement and\nensuring the active participation of all technicians in performance reviews.\nAdvise Superintendents on the utilization and assignment of resources appropriate for project timelines and\nbudgets that ensure quality job completion and drive installation efficiency.\nProvide expert technical knowledge for any project that needs additional oversight or intervention by visiting\njobsites and reviewing ongoing project work with the operational team to ensure that projects close-out at the\nrequired efficiency and profitability levels avoiding overruns.\nInterface with Product Line experts on operational challenges, including but not limited to product issues,\nsafety concerns, supply chain.\nEnsure coordination of personnel and product safety responsibilities in partnership with the Field Quality\nExcellence organization including driving personnel safety training and process adherence and the execution of\nproper technical training and equipment testing\nThis role can be seated in Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Des Moines, Minneapolis & St. Louis.\nWhat you bring\nWhat you bring\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree preferred or technical leadership experience in the elevator industry or another service\noriented business.\nPossess overall knowledge of product and product application; modernization techniques and procedures;\nability to understand financial statements; legal awareness to contract terms and conditions.\nWork Experience:\n5-7 years in various assignments within the Company, in the Elevator industry, or in another service-oriented\nbusiness.\nAdditional:\nUp to 50% travel within the territory will be required\nExcellent written and verbal communications skills\nExcellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office\nWhat’s in it for you?\nFully vested 401k match, up to 7% of total eligible compensation.\nCompetitive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans - Effective from first day of hire.\n3 weeks’ vacation which increases with tenure, 7 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 8 Company Observed Holidays.\nTuition Reimbursement - Eligible after 6 months of service.\nParental Leave - 100% base pay for 6 consecutive weeks within first year of a child’s birth or adoption.\nA wide range of development opportunities to boost your professional and leadership growth.\nBase Salary $128,700 - $160,900\nThe above represents the typical salary range for this position.
