They are also responsible for the regional market assessments, pricing and the introduction of products and services in their region. The Business Development Manager is also customer centric, provide solutions to the clients and is a critical link in product development and product and services adaptation to the regional market. They also interact internally with the different SLB business lines to highlight opportunities in the mining sector and provide winning sales strategies and tender support.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nParticipate in the creation and implementation of the marketing/sales plan for all aspects of the mining portfolio in the region.\nLead the sales and commercial efforts with the mining clients and connect the different Business lines with potential opportunities within the sector / region. \nIdentify new business opportunities - new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing markets, for the mining sector.\nPromote portfolio value proposition and business offerings and educate internally of the specificities on the mining sector. \nParticipate in the opportunity management process for critical opportunities.\nLead the development of proposal strategies/content/commercial models, both base and alternative cases.\nCoordinate the technical, operational, commercial and legal risk mitigation/support/reviews for all proposals.\nLead proposal/tender management reviews to obtain alignment and approval before proposal submission.\nParticipate in customer proposal/contract negotiations, as needed.\nEnsure proper handover of associated contracts the business lines. \nDevelop and maintains good customer relationships in the assigned region.\nAttend conferences, meetings, and industry events to gain insight on industry trends and developments.\nQualifications And Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in business or engineering, MBA is preferred \n15+ years of progressive experience in the mining industry with a minimum of 5 years in a business development, Sales, account management capacity. \nProven experience in the mining subsurface domain and ability to convert client needs to opportunity. \nDeep understanding of the mining players in the region and ability to leverage own network to create opportunities and build a revenue stream. \nDeep knowledge and understanding of the pricing models in the mining sector within the region as well as major competitors and hurdles for market entry and encroachments.\nExcellent communication skills both written and verbal. \nAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary team and sell the opportunity internally to secure the business lines buy-in.\nCandidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.\n.\nBy applying for this position, I hereby expressly acknowledge and consent to the following:\nI consent to the collection, storage, transfer and processing of personal data strictly in relation with and for the purpose of the recruitment procedure and onboarding (if applicable).
