Prepare man-hour estimates for new projects and changes in design.\nPrepare engineering and construction calculations to support the conceptual design made by Construction Designers from scratch, sketches or verbal instruction, utilizing computer-assisted drafting and design techniques.\nPerform fundamental engineering support tasks such as updating computer lists, filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports and compiling Purchase orders and cost of material and services.\nCheck the work of other designers and drafters.\nEnsure project and company procedures are followed.\nUse information from vendor prints, catalogs and technical manuals to do design work.\nMentor less experienced facility team members.\nQ-HSE coordination: Supervise direct and contract detailed engineering and other engineering personnel.\nApprove work by offsite contract engineers.\nKeep supervisor informed of project progress.\nStay current on new technologies, materials and processes.\nTravel as necessary to support design projects for field locations.\nEnsure systems are complete, tested, documented, and handed over to operations.\nEnsure the annual CapEx projects plan is completed before endo of year.\nCollect all the construction needs from the Stakeholders to forecast the next CapEx plan.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, or related field). \nMinimum 1 year of project engineering experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment.\n Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred (2D and 3D ).\nStrong understanding of engineering drawings, technical standards, and drafting principles.\nAbility to interpret and create detailed drawings, layouts, schematics, and models.\nStrong project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to multitask and manage tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. \n0-3 years of experience in construction, facilities, industrial projects, oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure projects.\nBasic knowledge of engineering drawings, construction methods, and engineering calculations.\nFamiliarity with construction codes, industry standards, and safety requirements applicable to Guyana and the Caribbean.\nProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nEffective communication and teamwork skills.\nWillingness to travel to field locations and construction sites as required. (Guyana, Trinidad and Suriname)\nWillingness to learn and develop technical, project management, and construction supervision skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to industrial facilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects through internships or project work.\nKnowledge of project scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6).\nBasic understanding of construction safety practices and risk management.\nPreferred Skills\nSelf-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.\nExposure to construction, infrastructure, industrial, or facilities projects through internships, university projects, or previous work\nStrong problem-solving ability\nKey Competencies\nBasic engineering and construction knowledge\nConstruction safety awareness\nPlanning and organizational skills\nAttention to detail and technical accuracy\nEffective written and verbal communication\nAdaptability and willingness to learn\nTime management and ability to meet deadlines\nContractor and stakeholder coordination\nSLB offers equal employment opportunity.
