The Plumbing Designer/Engineer will provide accurate and efficient Plumbing Engineering system(s) building design, while implementing and practicing Plumbing Engineering industry standards within the firm’s design process. This individual will be a proactive member of the project team. This position requires a strong competency in engineering building systems. Skills in implementation of quality procedures are necessary. The ability to coordinate and integrate engineering into the firm’s facility design process is essential. Must be able to meet project deliverables and deadlines.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for complete Plumbing Systems design for large commercial projects, systems include:Domestic Cold-Water Systems\nDomestic Hot-Water and Recirculated Hot Water Systems\nSanitary Waste & Vent Systems\nStorm Water Drainage Systems\nCompressed Air Systems\nFire Protection Systems\nFuel Gas Systems\nMedical and Laboratory Gas Systems\n\nResponsible for complete Plumbing Systems specification utilizing MasterSpec format.\nResponsible for processing shop drawings, product data, and project submittals for assigned projects.\nResponsible for supervision of junior designers/BIM Technicians.\nResponsible for coordination of Plumbing Systems integration into building and systems coordination with other trades.\nResponsible for utility calculations required for site utility coordination.\nResponsible for site surveys and other field work as required for assigned projects (i.e. assessments, site surveys, and project punch observations.)\nResponsible for creating drawings and modeling systems utilizing REVIT Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.\nOther tasks as assigned.\nExperience/Education\nB.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar accredited engineering program.\n5-10 years of experience in plumbing design.\nPE license or CPD is preferred.\nOther industry certification(s) a plus.EIT;
