In this role, you will maintain relationships with a diverse client base in various industries and assist firm leadership in identifying new opportunities and obtaining new engagements. That's why we've embraced a hybrid work model, allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home as well as in the office.\nLearn more about what it’s like working at Schneider Downs here: https://tinyurl.com/52t4kshw \nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nMaintain and develop strong client relationships on various tax consulting/compliance engagements\nManage engagement workflow, engagement team resources and engagement billing\nWork as part of a coordinated client service team approach, working with other practice units to provide industry knowledge and insight to clients in a variety of industries\nReview engagement profitability and prepare and analyze monthly billing for assigned engagements\nReview tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities\nResearch and analyze a wide range of tax issues and tax implications\nDemonstrate strong analytical skills and working knowledge of accounting and tax software\nProvide leadership, counseling and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team\nRepresent firm and build relationships by attending fundraisers, meetings with prospects/bankers, charitable events, professional organizations, etc.\nWork as a team on internal initiatives that promote firm growth, culture, technical tax content development and technological advances\nStay informed of current and proposed tax legislation, communicating potential impacts to clients and assist with planning\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED\nCPA, J.D., LL.M., or Master's in Taxation required; Enrolled Agent (EA) credential accepted in lieu of a CPA\nMinimum of five years of public accounting experience in tax\nAbility to develop business and foster client relationships\nStrong leadership, training and mentoring skills\nExcellent writing, communication and tax research skills\nWHERE CULTURE COUNTS\nAt Schneider Downs, our culture is our identity.
