This individual will be able to gain hands-on experience utilizing knowledge of electronics design and simulation to analyze design solutions and ensure electronics resiliency. They will work to evaluate and test product design solutions in a lab environment, supported and mentored by senior engineers with an abundance of experience.\nDuration: 6 months, June 2027-December 2027\nWhat will you do?\nAssist in the design, develop, test, and validate electronic hardware solutions for power distribution and circuit protection products. As well as support electronic products resiliency with design updates, component substitution and cost optimizations.\nModification of schematics, layout and other design documents.\nHelp with prototype builds for testing.\nWrite and implement test plans, including test instructions and acceptance criteria.\nInterpret test results and other data. \nConduct root cause analysis for electronic hardware systems.\nParticipate in design reviews.\nPresent project summaries to internal experts.\n What qualifications will make you successful?\nWorking towards a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electronics or related engineering field.\nUnderstanding of electronic circuits and circuit design with courses similar to: electronic circuits, circuit analysis, electromagnetism, signal analysis.\nAbility to discuss a project you have worked on and articulate responsibilities and role.\nBasic abilities with SPICE tools, PCB design suites and MS365.\nInterest in electronics lab equipment, oscilloscopes, power supply, signal generators, etc. Experience is a plus.\nEffective written and oral communication skills.\nAbility to work full-time based in Cedar Rapids or Raleigh, for 6-months starting June 2027\nAll applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
