This role will focus on the design and development of modular skid-based systems and e-house solutions, which are critical to Schneider Electric’s portfolio in medium-voltage (MV), low-voltage (LV), and energy storage applications.\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in structural engineering, advanced analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring safe, scalable, and high-performance skid solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nSkid & Structural Design\nDesign and develop mechanical skid frames and modular platforms for:\nMV/LV switchgear\nTransformer skids\nBattery energy storage systems (BESS)\nMulti-technology skids (SWGR + XFMR + LVS)\nCreate GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and 3D models\nOptimize designs for manufacturing, transportation, and site installation\nStructural Analysis & Engineering\nPerform and approve structural calculations for:\nDead, live, and equipment loads\nWind, snow, and seismic loads\nTransportation and lifting conditions\nConduct advanced structural simulations and analysis\nEnsure compliance with international design standards (IS, IEC, AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes)\nValidate structural integrity and compliance with relevant codes and standards.\nFoundation & Interface Engineering\nPerform skid-to-foundation interface analysis\nDefine:\nBase load reactions\nAnchor bolt configurations\nStructural support schemes\nCollaborate with civil and project teams for integrated design solutions\nTransportation, Lifting & Installation\nDevelop skid designs considering transport constraints and logistics\nDesign lifting lugs, rigging solutions, and installation strategies\nEnsure structural safety during handling, transport, and site erection\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with:\nElectrical engineering teams\nCivil & structural functions\nManufacturing and supply chain teams\nProject execution teams\nParticipate in design reviews, technical discussions, and risk assessments\nTechnical Documentation & Communication\nPrepare:\nStructural design calculations\nEngineering reports\nTechnical specifications and documentation\nDemonstrate clear and effective communication across global teams\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering\n6+ years of relevant experience in skid design / structural engineering\nStrong expertise in:\nStructural analysis and calculations\nSteel structure design\nModular and skid-based systems\nProficiency in:\nSTAAD, ANSYS, or equivalent tools\n AutoCAD / 3D CAD platforms (SolidWorks, Creo, etc.)\nFamiliarity with global engineering standards and codes\nProficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with e-house solutions, MV/LV systems, or BESS skids\nExposure to modular power or data center infrastructure solutions\nBackground in EPC, power systems, or industrial projects\n Rewards designed for you\nOur Total Rewards is our way of saying: We see you and we value you.
