The Project Engineer acts as a key technical interface between engineering, project management, manufacturing, commissioning, quality, and customer teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineering Design & Documentation\nDevelop complete detailed engineering design packages, including:\nMechanical & electrical layouts\nSingle-line diagrams and schematics\nBill of Materials (equipment, components, and materials)\nAssembly and integration details\nPrepare advanced CAD / 3D / BIM engineering drawings to support manufacturing and installation needs.\nEnsure engineering documentation follows global Prefab standards, local regulations, and customer-approved designs.\nTechnical Support & Issue Resolution\nServe as the first point of technical escalation for design-related clarifications within the factory.\nProvide engineering support and guidance to manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and PM teams.\nPerform root-cause analysis and implement design corrections for technical issues identified during production or testing.\nConduct technical validations and assessments during production, FAT, and commissioning activities.\nProject Support & Cross-Functional Coordination\nCollaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure engineering readiness, interface clarity, and solution compliance with project scope.\nAttend project handover (P1) reviews and provide engineering input for planning, risk management, and delivery milestones.\nSupport the tendering team when needed by reviewing technical specifications, creating preliminary designs, and validating solution feasibility.\nInterface with front office teams and customers as required for technical clarification and approvals.\nWork with Prefab Commissioning, PM, and Quality teams during execution, testing, and project closure.\nCompliance, Standards & Best Practices\nEnsure all engineering work complies with local electrical and mechanical standards, codes of practice, and customer-specific regulations.\nValidate system integration against global Prefab MDC design guidelines.\nActively promote and deploy Prefab best practices, standard designs, and engineering libraries.\nMaintain proper engineering documentation traceability for internal and external audits.\n Continuous Improvement & Innovation\nIdentify opportunities for design simplification, modularization, and digital engineering improvements.\nContribute to engineering standardization and knowledge management initiatives.\nSupport engineering change management (ECN/ECO) processes to incorporate field feedback and manufacturing lessons learned.\n Required Qualifications & Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.\n3-5 years of industrial engineering experience in multi-product or project-based environments.\nStrong ability to evaluate and validate engineering systems/solutions in accordance with local standards and customer specifications.\nProficiency in BIM, CAD, and/or 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.).\nExperience with assemblies, modular integration, and multi-equipment layouts.\nAbility to read and interpret advanced construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.\nProactive and organized, with strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset.\nStrong soft skills: communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and engineering clarity.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and standard engineering tools.\nFluent in English (spoken and written).\nWillingness to travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.\nPreferred Competencies\nExperience in modular construction, data center systems, or packaged solutions.\nUnderstanding of electrical power distribution (LV/MV), cooling systems, and control systems.\nFamiliarity with Schneider Electric product portfolios is a plus.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, SPS (Schneider Production System), and FAT processes.\nPosition Impact\nThe Project Engineer is essential to ensuring Prefab Modular Data Center solutions maintain technical integrity, meet customer expectations, and achieve operational excellence from design to delivery.
