This is a critical role where you'll combine technical expertise, customer engagement, and digital testing processes to guarantee quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Based within our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for executing and witnessing FAT activities while driving continuous improvement in testing performance, documentation, and traceability.\nWhat will you do:\nPlan, coordinate, and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for LV switchboards, motor control centres, and control systems.\nVerify products meet customer specifications, approved drawings, and applicable industry standards.\nConduct functional, electrical, protection, and communication testing activities.\nLead customer witness testing and provide technical support throughout FAT activities.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve non-conformances, defects, and technical issues during testing.\nProduce and maintain accurate FAT records, reports, test documentation, and digital quality records using systems such as LDS and DISS, ensuring full traceability and compliance.\nCollaborate with engineering, production, quality, and project management teams to ensure timely project delivery.\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.\nChampion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve test efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.\nEnsure compliance with all health, safety, electrical safety, and quality standards.\nSupport customer audits, inspections, and site acceptance preparation activities where required.\n What will make you successful:\nProven experience in FAT, commissioning, testing, or electrical engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nStrong understanding of LV switchgear, motor control centres, power distribution systems, and electrical control panels.\nAbility to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and technical specifications.\nStrong fault-finding, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience performing electrical testing in accordance with relevant standards and customer requirements.\nProficiency in digital manufacturing and quality systems, including experience with LDS, DISS, MES, ERP, or equivalent platforms for test recording, quality management, and product traceability.\nStrong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and Right-First-Time delivery.\nExcellent communication skills with the confidence to lead customer witness testing and engage with internal stakeholders.\nProactive, structured, and results-oriented mindset.\nUnderstanding of IEC/BS EN 61439 and other relevant electrical standards would be advantageous.\nDegree, HNC/HND, Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.\nWhat's in it for you:\nOpportunity to work on complex and high-profile customer projects.\nDirect involvement in critical project milestones and customer witness testing.\nExposure to advanced power distribution, motor control, and automation technologies.\nDevelopment of specialist expertise in electrical testing, fault finding, quality assurance, and digital manufacturing systems.\nCollaborative environment focused on safety, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nCareer growth opportunities across engineering, quality, project delivery, and operational leadership functions.\nBring your quality expertise to a team that's committed to excellence - apply today!\n At Schneider, we believe that every employee is a talent who deserves equal opportunities.
