In addition, the position is responsible for obtaining pricing for freight and booking trucks (LTL and FTL) for transporting finished products to their destination in addition to the coordination of materials to suppliers.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nManages Material Handling associates, monitoring work and ensuring that shipping and receiving materials and products are handled / shipped in a timely manner. Refer to Material Handling Associate job description.\nHandles performance reviews for employees as well as approval for time off.\nMonitors and ensures materials are received, put away, isle ways are free and clear.\nWorks with purchasing department to audit and monitor inventory, while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.\nSolicits freight quotes.\nCoordinates product shipments to destination.\nConverts work in process to finish goods, close out production orders and create shipment records.\nCreates BOL’s.\nCoordinates material shipments to suppliers.\nCoordinates and tracks international shipments, air and sea.\nAudits Freight bills for accuracy/discrepancies from quotation.\nResolves and/or approves invoice discrepancies with suppliers.\nResearch suppliers/freight carriers pricing to ensure competitiveness.\nPerforms other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.\n Position Qualifications\nAssociate or bachelor’s Degree\n5+ years of related experience\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAttention to Detail.\nStrong Excel Skills\nOutstanding Organizational Skills\nProject Management\nProblem Solving\nReporting skills\nProficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint\nPhysical Requirements/Abilities (If necessary)\nOffice environment working primarily at a desk on a computer.\nAbility to sit for long periods of time.\nLet us learn about you! This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
