This role works closely with key suppliers to enhance quality, delivery, manufacturing efficiency, and overall operational performance. The SDE will lead supplier improvement initiatives, monitor performance metrics, and support suppliers in developing robust manufacturing processes and capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, implement, and track supplier performance improvement plans\nPartner with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost\nAssist or co-lead regular supplier performance reviews using KPIs and scorecards\nIdentify root causes of supplier issues and lead corrective and preventive actions\nSupport suppliers in process optimization, capacity planning, and production readiness\nAssist with new supplier onboarding, including process validation and capability assessment\nCollaborate with internal teams (Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering) to align supplier strategies\nPerform on-site supplier visits to evaluate operations and provide hands-on support\nDrive adoption of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)\nEnsure suppliers meet company standards for quality systems, compliance, and operational excellence\nExecutes supplier capacity analysis, identifies bottlenecks and other opportunities for improvement\n Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)\n3+ years of experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, or supplier development\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations\nExperience working directly with suppliers and managing performance improvement initiatives\nFamiliarity with quality systems and root cause tools (8D, RCA, FMEA, etc.)\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills\nExcellent communication and relationship-building abilities\nFlexibility to travel to supplier sites - frequent travel is possible at times\nPreferred Qualifications\nLean / Six Sigma certification\nExperience with supplier audits or supplier quality systems\nBackground in factory setup, process validation, or production ramp-up\nAt Schneider, we believe that every employee is a talent who deserves equal opportunities. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
