This role supports the supervisor by coordinating workflow, resolving issues in real time, reinforcing standardized work, driving continuous improvement, and developing team capability. The Team Lead may perform production tasks, training, or lead the team in the supervisor’s absence.\nShift: 1st shift - 6:00 am-2:30 pm M-F with week day and weekend overtime as needed\nKey Responsibilities\nPromote and enforce safety rules, PPE use, and ergonomic best practices.\nAct as a Safety Champion; respond to and address safety issues and Andon calls.\nSupport 5S, workplace organization, and safe behaviors through daily coaching and audits.\nProvide first-line support for operators; respond quickly to abnormalities and workflow disruptions.\nOrganize and prioritize jobs to meet takt time, throughput, and production/warehouse goals.\nCover absences/breaks and perform team jobs when needed.\nCoordinate job rotation to build flexibility and reduce strain.\nAudit and coach adherence to standardized work; address issues immediately.\nEnsure materials, tools, diagrams, and instructions are available and accurate.\nVerify product and process quality; stop defects and support root-cause analysis.\nRespond to Andon for safety, quality, and delivery issues; stabilize and escalate as needed.\nLead real-time containment and verification (Built-In Quality).\nSupport Kaizen, SPS initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.\nParticipate in SIM meetings and daily huddles.\nTrain team members; maintain skills matrices and required certifications.\nCommunicate work instructions clearly and provide coaching and feedback.\nShare production needs, metrics, and barriers with supervisors and next-shift leaders.\nUse required systems (SAP, LDS, DiSS, Microsoft Office, BOMs, ship list, etc.).\nCollaborate with other departments\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nPrior leadership or team lead experience a plus\nAbility to read/interpret diagrams, schedules, BOMs, and work instructions.\nFamiliarity with SPS, 5S, PDCA, and continuous improvement tools preferred.\nStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in SAP, LDS, DiSS, Microsoft Office.
