This position requires strong technical writing,\nanalytical thinking, attention to detail, stakeholder management, and the ability to interpret\nengineering information across electrical, mechanical, structural, and cooling disciplines.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTechnical Documentation Development\nDevelop, revise, and maintain customer-facing technical documentation for prefabricated modular data center solutions.\nCreate installation manuals covering enclosure installation, electrical connections, hydraulic connections, and other project-specific installation requirements.\nDevelop operation manuals, technical specifications, and sequence-of-operation documents for the systems and equipment incorporated into each solution.\nClearly document procedures for operating primary equipment and provide appropriate references to original equipment manufacturer documentation.\nTranslate complex engineering content into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand instructions for technical audiences.\nDevelop and update technical images, diagrams, line art, tables, and other visual content required for final documentation. Engineering and Project Collaboration\nGeneral\nWork closely with project engineers, technical leads, subject-matter experts, factory personnel, R&D, product management, and project teams to gather and validate technical information.\nInterpret engineering packages that may include 3D models, structural specifications, electrical specifications, cooling specifications, and auxiliary equipment information.\nConduct working sessions with subject-matter experts to resolve technical questions and documentation gaps.\nDocument Review, Quality, and Governance\nSupport formal documentation reviews and release approvals.\nEnsure documentation complies with applicable corporate standards, regulatory requirements, terminology guidelines, and localization needs.\nMaintain a high level of consistency, accuracy, usability, and quality across all project documentation.\nManage document revisions, version control, release status, and updates in alignment with project and product lifecycle milestones.\nHelp establish standardized Prefab documentation formats, templates, style guidelines, and reusable content. Publishing \nPrepare final approved documentation for release and upload it to the appropriate document repository.\nEnsure final documentation is included in project handover packages.\nSupport publication and localization activities when documentation is required in additional languages.\nWork independently on assigned projects while collaborating with the broader Data Center Systems technical-writing community.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, technical communication, or a related technical field. Electrical, mechanical, industrial, or systems engineering is preferred. General\nOne to three years of experience in technical writing, engineering documentation, product documentation, or a related discipline.\nDemonstrated ability to translate complex engineering information into clear and accurate technical content.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, technical specifications, and other engineering documentation.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and project-management skills.\nHigh level of attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, documentation revisions, and stakeholder reviews.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional, and technically diverse teams. \nUnderstanding of document-control practices, revision management, and formal technical review processes.\nContinuous improvement: Identifies opportunities to standardize templates, simplify workflows, and improve documentation quality.\nWhy Join Schneider Electric?\nJoin a global organization focused on sustainability, electrification, automation, and digital\ntransformation. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
