Start making an IMPACT!\nAbout the Role:\nThis position is responsible for tendering projects for the Digital Energy division of Schneider Electric Japan Holdings Ltd. The role ensures accurate and timely delivery of tender documents, in compliance with internal policies as well as local regulations.\nWhat will you do?\nAnalyze customer RFQs/RFPs and develop proposal strategies based on technical requirements, commercial considerations, and contractual terms.\n\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Procurement.\n\nPrepare technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimation, BOM preparation, pricing, and the identification of assumptions and risks.\n\nRespond to customer inquiries regarding technical and commercial matters and support negotiations with customers.\n\nConduct risk analysis during the proposal stage and develop appropriate mitigation measures.\n\nReview and coordinate contractual terms, including payment terms, logistics, taxation, export control, and other relevant conditions.\n\nManage internal approval processes and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.\n\nManage and maintain tender-related documentation.\n\nDrive continuous improvement of the bidding process and related templates.\n\nWhat skills and capabilities will make you successful?\nTechnical Skills & Knowledge\nBasic knowledge of electrical engineering, including an understanding of I/O lists, device lists, point lists, and related documentation.\n\nKnowledge of instrumentation, covering both hardware and software aspects.\n\nExperience\nAt least 5 years of practical experience in bidding, proposal, and/or engineering-related roles.\n\nKnowledge and experience in cost estimation and quotation preparation.\n\nLanguage Requirements\nEnglish: TOEIC score equivalent to 700 or above.\n\nJapanese: JLPT N2 or equivalent proficiency.\n\nWhat’s in it for me?\nA key role directly contributing to winning major projects and securing critical business opportunities.\n\nThe opportunity to work in advanced fields such as power, control systems, and digital energy.\n\nGain experience in a global and cross-functional working environment.\n\nDevelop expertise in commercial management, contract management, and proposal development.\n\nPotential future career paths, including roles such as Bid Manager / Tender Manager and Project Management.\n\nContribute to sustainability initiatives through work with significant social and environmental impact.\n\nWho will you report to?\nThis position reports to the Digital Energy Application Centre Director and is part of a team of over twenty members, in Schneider Electric Japan Holdings Ltd. The role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including the China East Asia One Solutions organization, Local & Zone Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Business Teams.\n What qualifications will make you successful for this role?\n· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related technical discipline. (A degree in Business or equivalent experience combined with strong technical exposure may also be considered.)\n· 5+ years of professional experience in tendering, bid management, proposal engineering, or commercial engineering roles within engineering-driven industries\n· Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 700 or equivalent) required for reading English RFQs and engaging with overseas customers and global stakeholders.\n· Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 or equivalent) required for reading Japanese RFQs and communicating with local customers, partners, and internal teams.\nLet us learn about you!
