You will be part of a global group that delivers front-line support for our proprietary quantitative-trading platform. Working alongside colleagues in the UK and the US, the team provides follow-the-sun coverage-24/7 monitoring and support of Schonfeld’s trading environment-while partnering closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Networking teams to ensure the platform’s connectivity, hardware, and software remain reliable, maintainable, and high-performing.\nWhat you’ll do \nServe as the first point of contact for production issues, support requests, and alerts.\nInvestigate and resolve incidents or outages in real time, escalating when necessary.\nCollaborate with Infrastructure and Networking teams to monitor connectivity and hardware across the investment platform.\nWork directly with Portfolio Managers on project work and ad-hoc support requests.\nManage regional Change Control and lead Incident Management processes.\nPartner with software-development teams to ensure smooth deployment of new code to production.\nAutomate recurring processes and workflows, and build internal tooling to improve efficiency and system resilience.\nWhat you’ll bring\n What you need:\nAt minimum, five years of experience in financial services supporting trading and post-trade systems\nExperience in managing large scale deployments/environments\nExperience supporting applications in a Linux environment\nStrong scripting skills - Python, Bash, Shell, Perl\nExperience developing tools and/or automating processes\nExperience with supporting FIX protocol\nAn understanding of monitoring, and performance management\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results\nA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field\nWe’d love if you had:\nExperience performing FIX certification/onboarding\nExperience with NFS and GPFS file systems\nKnowledge of storage devices\nExperience with application monitoring systems such as ITRS Geneos\nExperience with Control-M job scheduling\nKnowledge of q and kdb+\nExperience with AWS\nExperience with Docker\nOur Culture \nAt Schonfeld, we’ll invest in you.
