As we expand our provision across the UK and internationally, we are strengthening our academic team to deliver high-quality teaching, support excellent student outcomes and help shape the future of technology-focused education.\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking a Business Management Lecturer to join our Higher Education team, delivering high-quality teaching across our BA (Hons) Business Management programmes, including Foundation Year provision.\nThis is a teaching-focused role centred on classroom delivery, assessment marking and student support. You will help students develop their understanding of contemporary management, leadership, entrepreneurship, operations, finance and digital business practices.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDeliver engaging, high-quality teaching across Higher Education Business Management programmes using approved module content and learning materials.\nTeach subjects including management, leadership, entrepreneurship, operations, finance, sustainability and digital business.\nMark assessments in accordance with established briefs, learning outcomes, marking criteria and academic regulations.\nProvide timely, constructive feedback to support students’ academic development.\nCreate an inclusive and interactive learning environment that encourages participation and critical thinking.\nMonitor student progress, attendance and engagement, providing appropriate academic guidance and support.\nSupport students to develop their academic skills, employability and progression.\nIdentify recurring learning needs and share feedback with module and programme leaders.\nRequirements\nWhat we’re looking for\nEssential\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship or a related discipline.\nTeaching experience within a Higher Education environment.\nExperience marking academic assessments and providing constructive feedback.\nSubject knowledge in relevant areas of Business Management.\nExcellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to support students from diverse backgrounds and with differing academic needs.\nAbility to work collaboratively as part of an academic team.\nDesirable\nMaster’s degree or MBA in Business Management or a related discipline.\nPGCert in Higher Education, Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or equivalent professional recognition.\nExperience teaching leadership, operations management, entrepreneurship, digital business, sustainability or finance.\nRelevant industry experience in business, management, operations, leadership or entrepreneurship.\nUnderstanding of digital transformation, AI applications in business and emerging technologies.\nExperience supervising student projects, dissertations or work-based learning.\nExperience supporting widening-participation student cohorts.\nWhy join us\nAt SOC Higher Education, we are building a forward thinking academic community dedicated to transforming lives through accessible, industry focused education.
