The group is supported by more than 100 software developers and engineers, as well as a large-scale compute infrastructure to apply our proprietary physics based drug design and optimization platform. Ten of the programs we’ve worked on have progressed into preclinical development, with nine currently in clinical trials and one approved by the FDA. \nWho will love this job: \nA DMPK analysis expert, who understands ADME principles and applications throughout drug development applications throughout drug discovery and development \nA scientist with a robust background in DMPK who has specialized in the use and application of any of the following:\no In vitro/in vivo drug metabolism or transporter approaches to identify potential ADME liabilities and aid in compound optimization\no PK/PD and PBPK modeling approaches to optimize compound selection, dose optimization, and study design (this includes experience with commonly-used PK/PD software, such as Phoenix/WinNonlin, SimCYP, Monolix, MATLAB SimBiology, or other equivalent software)\nA proven Principal Investigator and scientific strategist who’s self-driven and results-oriented\nA highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented data-analyzer \nAn excellent communicator and presenter who can work both as a team player and a project driver \nA flexible, curious scientist who’s excited about networking and building internal and external relationships \nWhat you will do: \nDevelop and drive DMPK and PK/PD strategy for drug discovery projects \nRepresent the DMPK group on internal and intercompany project teams to help turn molecular modeling design ideas into druggable novel chemical entities \nCollaborate with internal and intercompany project team members and external CROs to generate relevant data to enable knowledge and data integration \nAnalyze and integrate in silico ADME predictive solutions, physicochemical, ADME, and DMPK data to impact multiparameter optimization \nAuthor and/or review appropriate reports for regulatory submission of development drug candidates and ensure the overall quality of the studies and interpretation (this entails supporting interactions with regulatory agencies)\nCollaborate with scientific development team on establishment of predictive computational ADME/DMPK models \nWhat you should have: \nPhD in life sciences, chemical engineering, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline with at least five years of experience working with DMPK in the pharmaceutical industry or Master’s degree in life sciences, chemical engineering, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline with at least ten years of experience working with DMPK in the pharmaceutical industry \nPrior experience independently representing DMPK on project teams\nPay and perks:\nSchrödinger understands it’s people that make a company great.
