You'll play a key role in automating the deployment and maintenance of our Kubernetes-based application (LiveDesign) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys automation using modern approaches such as GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, and is excited to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. You'll work directly with other teams, regularly demo new features you build, and help shape deployment workflows that make their work more efficient.\nWhat You'll Work On\nPrimary Focus:\nBuild and improve GitHub Actions workflows to automate deployment pipelines\nMaintain and enhance Terraform infrastructure code for GCP resources\nDevelop Python scripts and tools for infrastructure automation\nCollaborate with other internal teams to understand their needs\nLearning & Growth Areas:\nImprove Kubernetes Helm charts and establish best practices\nDesign, implement and/or improve microservices, in particular related to job orchestration of scientific computations\nImprove and extend the existing infrastructure used for user authentication\nOptimize Docker configurations for our applications\nPotentially contribute to our deployment manager web application (Node.js/React) if interested\nRequired Skills\n1-3 years of professional software development or DevOps experience\n Programming: Strong Python skills (writing scripts, working with APIs, testing)\n Cloud Platform: Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
