You will engage your team, answer questions, use our ERP system, handle material, complete tasks designated by the Shift Supervisor, and step in as a CNC Operator as needed.\nHOW YOU WILL DO IT\nMaintain a safe work environment by overseeing employees to make certain MIOSHA safety rules and regulations are followed\nServe as the first line of defense to prevent shutdowns and loss of production\nExecute the scheduled production plan\nTransport material and goods from receiving, storage, or production areas to various processing, shipping, and storage locations\nActively manage the team to make certain production objectives are met\nTrain employees on the job, as needed, on procedures including blueprint reading, job order interpretation, and general product inspections\nEnsure all ISO quality forms for each production procedure are completed correctly and on time\nOrganize storage and processing areas to make the most efficient use of space and handling requirements that meet 5S standards\nMaintain inventory control of work-in-progress and stored material\nDevelop and recommend changes to improve the efficiency, quality, and performance of the manufacturing process within the defined cell\nOperate as a CNC Operator as needed\nHandle high-stress situations and interact in person with peers and management\nMaintain regular and predictable attendance\nExhibit behaviors that reflect the company core values: Integrity, Empowerment, Sustainability, and Compassion\nPerform other related duties as assigned\nWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU\nBasic requirements:\nAll Assistant Team Leaders must complete a 30/60/90 performance-based review; this plan includes recurring monthly discussions to ensure the role is the right fit for you and the Company\nConsistent pattern of reliable attendance: ≤ 1 occurrence as outlined in the Company’s attendance policy\nMinimum of 3-6 months of related supervisory experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nPrevious knowledge of a manufacturing environment\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office, internet software, inventory software, and VISUAL\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence\nAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form\nAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees\nAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations\nAbility to meet strict deadlines set by the production schedule\nPhysical requirements:\nRoutinely stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; and climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl\nRoutinely perform repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, and pulling\nRoutinely lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally more than 50 lbs\nWear all necessary safety equipment\nVisual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced\nRoutinely work in a noisy (company-provided hearing protection required), non-temperature-controlled environment\nWork in an environment where lock-out/tag-out is a standard safety practice\nRoutinely work around gas-powered and other forklifts and machinery\nAble to perform each essential function, with or without reasonable accommodation\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US\nPay: $20-$22/hr; additional bonuses and overtime available (non-exempt, overtime eligible)\nSchedule: 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 3 PM-2:00 AM; overtime as required\nWeekly pay\n16 days of PTO in your first year\n401(k) with match starting Day 1\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage effective the 1st of the month after hire\nHSA with company contribution of up to $1,500, FSA, and wellness premium discount\nCompany-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement\nPet insurance, healthcare concierge, and EAP\nThis job description describes the general nature and level of work expected.
