This position is part-time and seasonal based on event schedules, with hours varying based on business needs.\nHOW YOU WILL DO IT\nManage onsite sustainability programs from pre-event set-up, event day execution, and post-event tear down\nWork collaboratively to communicate with Schupan staff, event staff, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and build a working relationship\nService recycling, trash, and compost bins; sort material; load and unload equipment; maintain equipment inventory\nUse effective communication skills to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety standards, and complete all paperwork associated with equipment transportation, customer interactions, and deliveries\nPerform all job duties in a friendly, courteous manner and adhere to all safety requirements\nRespond to customers promptly\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWork alone and with a team in a collaborative environment; interact in person with coworkers and the public\nHandle high stress situations\nWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU\nBasic requirements:\nMinimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nPrior event management experience or sustainability industry knowledge is not required. Interest and willingness to learn about the recycling and sustainability industries is preferred\nPhysical requirements:\nOccasionally lift, move, or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds\nMay be required to work outside in all weather conditions including, but not limited to: extreme heat, humidity, extreme cold, snow and rain\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US\nPay Rate: $16.50/hour\nVaried work schedule includes early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays\nWeekly pay\nThis job description describes the general nature and level of work expected.
