The right candidate will have experience managing a team within the corrugating or paper industry.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nResponsible for the performance of production employees\nResponsible to provide direct leadership and supervision to the employees on shift and to set an example for all employees of the plant.\nProvide mentoring and coaching to ensure employee development.\nMonitor and manage raw materials, inventories, and production schedules.\nMaintain shift coverage schedule of Production Employees, including vacation management, and communicate to employees when they are required to work.\nIdentify incidents/accidents/near misses and communicate through submittal of incident investigation form.\nAddress corrective action as identified\nResponsible for ensuring compliance with all corporate policies, procedures, and requirements.\nFollow-up on all production activities.\nResponsible for ensuring that all employees follow the product specific SOP’s\nMaintain clean and organized production, site and office area.\nGuide employee performance and development using daily communication and annual performance evaluations.\nUtilize progressive discipline as required to enforce company policy.\nMust help on the floor when needed\nEnthusiasm for being an active part of a safety-first work environment.\nCoordinate with maintenance department to ensure that all repairs are made timely and that the necessary preventive maintenance is performed as necessary to keep plant operational.\nContinuously evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to the plant processes and facilities working closely with the Plant Manager and Operations Manager.\nWorks with other staff members to maintain workload balances.
