In this role, you will assist with maintaining EHS records, supporting compliance activities, and contributing to hazard control and accident prevention efforts across the organization. You will work closely with EHS professionals and employees to help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.\nThis position offers the opportunity to develop technical knowledge of environmental, health, and safety programs, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining chemical inventory and waste management records, support incident reporting and corrective action processes, contribute to hazard identification and risk reduction initiatives, and help communicate EHS information that supports continuous improvement throughout the organization.\nAs an EHS Technician I, a typical day might include the following:\nAssisting in the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of SEL environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including researching regulations as needed.\nOwning one to two programs that ensure safety and environmental compliance, and maintaining those programs to fulfill ongoing customer requirements or needs.\nCollaborating with and balancing the needs of various stakeholders to understand problems and requirements, including participating in cross-functional teams to create solutions within areas of expertise.\nParticipating in internal audits and compliance inspections and identifying actions necessary to meet regulatory and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standard requirements.\nOwning or coordinating chemical inventories, safety data sheets (SDSs), scrap, and waste material management for manufacturing facilities, and assisting with recordkeeping in support of these programs.\nParticipating in active hazard control and accident prevention programs in partnership with the site safety committee, facilitating incident investigations, and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective action evaluation and implementation under general supervision.\nAssisting in the development of training programs that encourage a safe and healthy work environment, and counseling all levels of management and employee owners on safety management programs and practices.\nThis job might be for you if you have:\nA professional certification, such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or similar\nGeneral knowledge of multiple EHS programs\nProficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications\nStrong organizational skills and a high attention to detail\nExcellent writing, grammar, and communication skills\nThe ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment\nThe ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs unassisted and lift and carry up to 40 lbs\nAbility to sit or stand for at least 8 hours\nAbility to pull weight from high/low places\nAbility to differentiate color\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks\nLocation:\nMoscow, ID - This position is located in Moscow, ID, home to our state of the art Printed Circuit Board factory.
