Simplify.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nBS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.\n5+ years of experience in power electronics design, depending on level.\nStrong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, including MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs, and/or GaN devices.\nExperience designing high-power, high-voltage, or high-current electronic systems.\nExperience with circuit simulation and modeling tools such as LTspice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or equivalent.\nUnderstanding of power conversion, switching transients, protection systems, and control techniques.\nExperience with schematic capture and PCB development.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nStrong writing, documentation, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering team.\nAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.\nBackground check results satisfactory to SEL.\nNegative drug test result(s)\nPreferred Qualifications\nMS degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Electronics.\nExperience with solid-state circuit breakers, fault current limiting devices, or advanced protection systems.\nExperience with wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies (SiC and GaN).\nExperience with medium-voltage or utility-scale power electronics.\nExperience with gate drive design and high-speed switching applications.\nExperience with thermal management, magnetics design, and EMI/EMC mitigation.\nExperience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time simulation.\nExperience with requirements-based development and MBSE methodologies.\nFamiliarity with utility, industrial, aerospace, defense, transportation, or microgrid applications.\nLocation - Pullman, WA\nThis position is 100% on-site.
