We celebrate our associates.\nOversees the entire Personal Care Center operation and team members. The Supervisor is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Personal Care Center associates and resources to optimize client family satisfaction, resource utilization and cost containment within given limits.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupervising Personal Care Center\nEnsures all policies and procedures are closely followed to ensure proper compliance in every area of the Personal Care Center’s operations including embalming, transporting, removals, dispatching and other activities; maintain 100% compliance in all areas.\nAssists PCC staff and/or completes any preparation in its entirety.\nMonitor the operation and proper function of the crematory equipment and machinery by regular inspection and advise the Crematory Manager when repair or replacement is necessary.\nDirects and oversees daily schedules and prioritization of work, achieving 100% met commitments to funeral homes, cemeteries, crematories and other external customers.\nProactively communicates and acts as a liaison between the Manager, staff and other location staff regarding issues, concerns and opportunities to improve process and efficiencies.\nDrives performance improvement in JD powers results for appearance of the deceased. Meets and exceeds client expectations.\nRecognizes and celebrates individual achievements and team successes.\nOrders, inventories and manages supplies and other merchandise.\nActs as the Personal Care Center Manager when the Manager is not present at the location.\nTraining and Quality Control\nAssists in training policies, procedures and standards for multiple roles.\nExecutes and participates in various training activities.\nEnsures PCC staff maintains compliance with company compliance coursework.\nMaintains a safe working environment by training the staff to ensure compliance with the operating procedures of corporate, federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA regulations and Safety and Environmental guidelines.\nEnsures cases are managed in daily operations properly (location specific).\nPreparation Room Maintenance\nAssists with maintenance of preparation room and the facility.\nCommunicates equipment, supply or other inventory needs to Manager.\nCleans soiled equipment and hazardous material spills.\nEnsures hazardous materials and spills are handled in accordance with the Material Data Safety Sheets.\nEDUCATION/Experience/MINIMUM Requirements\nEducation: \nState specific required diploma or accreditations\nCertification/License:\nHolds and maintains any State specific licensing and/or certifications\nValid State Driver’s License\nExperience:\nFive (5) years of funeral home, care center and/or decedent care preparation\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nDemonstrates a high level of skill, personal attributes and abilities required for recognition by both peers and management\nSets the standards for quality, teamwork, and productivity required for a high volume Personal Care Center\nKnowledge of computers and some software including MS Office products required\nAbility to work individually and as a team\nAbility to prioritize and organize effectively with a keen sense to detail\nHigh level of compassion and integrity\nEffective communication, training and problem solving skills\nStrong written and oral communication\nWork Conditions\nWork Environment\nWhen considering the work environment associated with this job, the following factors may apply:\nWork indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions\nLimited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required\nWhen not required to wear protective gear and if not in contact with families, embalmers must be dressed in a professional manner.
