The Director also acts as a liaison between Rose Hills and corporate departments, including Finance, Accounting, Sox Team, Strategic Pricing, and Ad Hoc Reporting groups.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.\nProvides leadership and management for the Accounting, Finance, and Procurement team, including direct oversight of the Manager of Finance & Data Analysis, Supervisor of Warehouse & Receiving & Buyer, and 7 front line associates.\nOversees the creation, modification, and maintenance of standard and non-standard SQL queries for financial reporting, ad hoc reporting, and business analytics to deliver meaningful insight into business performance.\nOversees accounting & procurement functions within the market, including:Month-end close journal entries\nAccounts payable\nAccounts receivable for key vendors and strategic partners\nProduct and account reconciliation / variance analysis\nInternal controls and field assessments\nProcurement of indirect goods and services\nFixed Asset budgeting, acquisition, analysis, and reporting\n\nCollaborates with senior management and department managers to understand strategic goals, reporting requirements, and business problems or opportunities, and develops data-driven analysis for benchmarking, ongoing monitoring, and operational improvement.\nOversees and collaborates with Manager of Finance & Data Analysis, senior management, and operational Managers to build annual budgets and forecasts.\nOversees and collaborates with Manager of Finance & Data Analysis, senior management, and operational Managers to build price change recommendation, analysis, and implementation.\nOversees and leads financial reviews to deliver financial results, competitor analysis, market trends, and summary analysis with commentary, in both written form and live presentation to the leadership team or full management team.\nLeads requirements-gathering sessions related to strategic goals and business problems or opportunities.\nServes as subject matter expert on available data sources and their relative accuracy compared to the General Ledger and OPA reporting tool.\nDevelops quality assurance procedures and maintains understanding of relevant systems and business processes to validate data collection, analysis, and reporting prior to distribution or presentation.\nDevelops, updates, distributes, and ensures follow-through of list of Accounting and Reporting activities monthly.\nStays current on the latest business analysis methods, tools, and technology.\nPrioritizes initiatives based on business needs and requirements to ensure timely completion; provides regular status reports on initiatives and projects to management.\nEngages with and contributes to team efforts by proactively communicating and completing assigned tasks on time and as needed.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience required.\nExperience\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role required.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAdvanced skills in Excel and other accounting/financial software.\nWorking knowledge of GAAP with full-cycle accounting experience (AP, AR, general ledger, fixed assets).\nStrong analytical skillset, including data integration, reporting and analytics, BI tools, and databases.\nDetail-oriented, analytical, inquisitive, and able to solve complex problems.\nAble to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\nHighly organized with strong time-management skills.\nClear and concise verbal presentation and written communication skills.\nRequires 60-80 percent of time spent in office\nTechnical Skills\nSQL\nExcel and Microsoft Office Suite\nAdobe Acrobat Pro\nData analysis and business analysis tools\nWORK CONDITIONS\nWork Environment\nWork indoors\nLimited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required\nProfessional Dress is required \nWork Postures\nSitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day\nPhysical Demands\nPhysical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, computers and phone usage\nWork Hours\nWorking beyond “standard” hours as the need arises\nOccasional local travel to offsite meetings required\nRose Hills is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
