The Specialist works closely with funeral directors and location managers to ensure all arrangements are initiated and completed.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nMeets regularly with Funeral Director(s) to ensure customer needs are met\nFrequently communicates with families to coordinate activities \nTakes first calls and dispatches removal teams\nCollects vital information, files death certificates and insurance claims\nSchedules appointments for Funeral Directors\nDesigns and prints memorials; creates, scans, and corrects arrangement documents\nOrders merchandise, flowers, urns\nSchedules services including coordinating with churches, cemeteries and staff\nAssists with setting up funeral/visitation areas and take down\nAssists during funeral services and events\nAssists with dressing, casketing and preparing the deceased for viewing\nTransport human remains to the Crematory facility\nDelivers ashes from Crematory to Funeral Home\nAssists with removals\nMay be required to ensure company vehicles are clean and fueled, prior to and after services\nAdheres to all Company and Regulatory requirements\nPerforms other administrative duties for the location when time permits\nMINIMUM Requirements\nEducation\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nCertification/License\nGood driving record and valid driver’s license\nExperience\n2 years of experience in an office clerical or customer service capacity required \nExperience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment required\nFuneral industry experience preferred but not required\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nStrong knowledge of computers and software\nAbove average communication skills\nHigh level of compassion and integrity\nProblem solving skills\nAbility to multi task and set priorities\nAbility to maintain confidentiality\nAbility to work beyond standard business hours including weekends\nDetail oriented\nProfessional team player\nPro-actively seeks out tasks\nMotivated, enthusiastic work ethic\nWork CONDITIONS\nWhen considering the work hours associated with this job, the following factors may apply:\nWork Environment\nMostly works indoors during all seasons and weather conditions\nOccasional work outdoors\nLimited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required\nProfessional dress is required when in contact with families \nWork Postures\nSitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day\nOccasional periods of time standing, up to 3 hours per day\nClimbing stairs to access buildings\nPhysical Demands\nPhysical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage\nAbility to lift up to 20 pounds\nWork Hours\nWorking beyond “standard” business hours as the need arises\nPostal Code: 28560Category (Portal Searching): OperationsJob Location: US-NC -
