This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure a sound design, and seamless installation and commissioning of our ERCES solutions. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are important elements of the position.\nWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)\nResponsible for reviewing system layouts and coordinating with engineering, project management, and sales departments for successful project execution. \nProduce field surveys and daily project logs of activity. \nResponsible for programming, commissioning and final acceptance by customers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) of complex Emergency Radio Communications Enhancement Systems (ERCES) systems. \nProduce detailed commissioning and inspection reports in accordance with NFPA. \nResponsible for complex troubleshooting and effective resolution. \nResponsible for delivering projects on schedule and within cost budgets. \nResponsible for programming systems via laptop computers. \nOversight for project inventory and responsible for vehicle inventory. \nAbility to work under tight deadlines. \nProvide support, guidance, and expertise to the other technicians. \nCustomer-focused, skilled in project and people management. \nAbility to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality. \nProficient in issue resolution. \nExcellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.\nKnowledge of OSHA safety standards. \nAbility to travel occasionally overnight as needed. \nWHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU!\nTwo to five years of experience in a technician role within the radio communications industry. \nExperience with: Public Safety Land Mobile Radio (LMR), including trucking, cellular technology, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), and data networking. \nExperience with Public Safety simulcast & P25 Radio Systems, and cellular-based technologies & associated testing parameters. \nAbility to program and commission mid-range ERCES systems using a laptop computer. \nMust be familiar with NFPA and IFC codes for Emergency Radio Communications Enhancement Systems. \nFamiliar with best practices and RF testing installing coaxial cable and antenna consistent with project requirements and according to local jurisdictions\nFamiliar with best practices on installation, testing, commission, certify, maintenance and repair of Public Safety & Cellular Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs), and associated telecommunications and network equipment which impact government and public safety operations for external and internal customers.\nFamiliar with Public Safety and/or Cellular coverage studies, isolation tests, cable & antenna line sweeps, and acceptance certifications for BDA/DAS projects.
