This postion is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization's inventory and warehousing activities across all national locations.\nThis position will establish and maintain consistent inventory and warehouse standards, optimize inventory levels and warehouse capacity, improve operational efficiency, ensure inventory accuracy, control costs, and develop high-performing teams.\nThe role will work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Sales, Transportation, and other business functions to ensure the right inventory is available at the right location and time while minimizing excess inventory, shortages, and operating costs.\nWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)\nNational Inventory Management\nDevelop and implement a national inventory management strategy aligned with business objectives.\nEstablish inventory policies, procedures, controls, and performance standards across all locations.\nMaintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.\nMonitor inventory levels, turns, aging, obsolete stock, excess inventory, and stock shortages.\nEstablish appropriate inventory targets, safety-stock levels, and replenishment practices.\nPartner with Procurement and Operations to improve inventory availability and working-capital performance.\nIdentify and reduce inventory variances, shrinkage, damage, and write-offs.\nEnsure appropriate controls for serialized, lot-controlled, regulated, or high-value inventory where applicable.\nWarehousing Operations\nProvide national leadership for warehouse operations across multiple facilities.\nStandardize warehouse processes, layouts, workflows, and operating procedures.\nOptimize receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, staging, shipping, and returns processes.\nImprove warehouse productivity, space utilization, labor efficiency, and throughput.\nEstablish consistent warehouse operating standards and best practices across all locations.\nEvaluate warehouse capacity requirements and support decisions regarding expansion, consolidation, relocation, or third-party warehousing.\nEnsure appropriate equipment, technology, staffing, and infrastructure are available to meet operational requirements.\nSystems & Technology\nLead the effective use of ERP, inventory management, and related technology systems.\nImprove system accuracy and ensure transactions are completed correctly and on time.\nIdentify opportunities for automation, scanning, barcode/RFID technology, reporting, and data analytics.\nPartner with IT and business teams on system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements.\nPerformance & Continuous Improvement\nEstablish national KPIs and dashboards for inventory and warehouse performance.\nAnalyze operational data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.\nLead continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other appropriate methodologies.\nDevelop and implement corrective action plans for recurring operational issues.\nBenchmark warehouse and inventory performance across locations and share best practices.\nSafety, Compliance & Risk Management\nEnsure all warehouse and inventory operations comply with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements.\nEstablish controls to minimize inventory loss, theft, damage, and operational risk.\nEnsure appropriate documentation, audit controls, and inventory records are maintained.\nSupport internal and external audits as required.\nVendor & 3PL Management\nManage relationships with third-party logistics providers, warehouse service providers, and other operational vendors.\nEstablish service-level expectations, KPIs, and performance reviews.\nNegotiate and manage service agreements in partnership with Procurement and other stakeholders.\nMonitor vendor performance, costs, quality, and compliance.\nWHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.\nProfessional certifications such as APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are an advantage.\n8-12+ years of progressive experience in inventory management, warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or operations.\n5+ years of management or leadership experience.\nDemonstrated experience managing multiple warehouse locations or a national/multi-site operation.\nExperience managing significant inventory volumes and operational budgets.\nExperience with SAP and Procore systems.\nExperience leading process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.\nAdvanced inventory management knowledge\nMulti-site warehouse
