The successful applicant will be responsible for developing architecture models relating to autonomous systems and crewed-uncrewed collaboration using Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools.\nScientific Systems Company, Inc. SSCI focuses on the creation of AI/ML enabled capabilities to command, control, communicate with, and manage composable collections of intelligent agents, smart sensors, and autonomous platforms across all domains.\nEssential Functions:\nSignificantly support system design reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR) for Autonomy Systems, develop interfaces (IDDs, ICDs) and operational/system/data viewpoints, in alignment with customer standards such as DoDAF. \nPerform system-level integration and test activities to ensure the Autonomy Systems meet or exceeds functional and performance system requirements. \nDefine and document system requirements, interfaces, and performance metrics. \nLead autonomy architecture development efforts and act as a primary customer-facing liaison for all architectural developments.\nPerform system-level modeling and simulation (M&S) and analyses using digital models and analysis tools, such as AFSIM, to quantify the utility or effectiveness of an autonomy system. \nSupport proposal activities by performing M&S, technical data analysis and creating/ revising assigned technical content sections as needed. \nApply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, using tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, to create and maintain system models, ensuring clarity and traceability. \nPerform system analysis, such as requirements analyses, and design activities to support the development of Autonomy System Architectures, models, data, and interfaces. \nDevelop working knowledge of Aerospace and DoD Systems Engineering Management, and relevant customer or industry processes, such as DoD 5000. \nThis position requires the ability to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time. \nMay require the ability to push/pull/lift up to 15 pounds \nThis role may require travel when necessary. Approximately 15%\nMust be able to obtain and maintain an active US DOD Security Clearance.\nRequirements\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelors’ of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience and 5+ years of progressive systems engineering experience in a related industry. \nExperience with the development, integration, and test of autonomous systems. \nExperience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and formal tools for SysML. \nExperience with modeling and simulation (M&S) and formal tools for simulation and analysis, such as AFSIM. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s of Science degree or PhD \nProficient in Microsoft Office suite, CAD, AutoCAD, AFSIM, and tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw \nDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills \nAbility to identify and creatively solve complex problems \nAbility to execute logical reasoning and decision-making skills \nBenefits\nSalary: $139,000 -
