The candidate will be responsible for identifying and qualifying suppliers, conducting price benchmarking, preparing RFQs, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating with partner factories to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply. The role involves close collaboration with Sales, Business Development, and Operations teams to support customer requirements, sourcing decisions, and business growth.\nKey responsibilities\nSupplier Identification & Qualification: Identify potential chemical manufacturers, suppliers, and trading partners across domestic and\ninternational markets. Evaluate their capabilities, pricing, quality standards, and supply reliability.\nRFQ Management: Prepare and release Requests for Quotations (RFQs), collect supplier quotations, compare commercial proposals, and support\nsupplier selection.\nPrice Benchmarking & Cost Analysis: Conduct price comparisons, analyze cost structures, track market trends, and identify cost-saving\nopportunities.\nCommercial Negotiations: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, minimum order quantities, delivery timelines, and other\ncommercial conditions.\nPartner Factory Coordination: Coordinate with partner factories and suppliers to assess production capabilities, capacity availability, lead times,\nand order fulfillment.\nCross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Business Development, and Operations teams to understand customer requirements\nand provide timely sourcing solutions.\nSupplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, follow up on quotations and orders, and monitor supplier\nperformance.\nProcurement Support: Assist in purchase planning, supplier onboarding, documentation, order tracking, and resolving supply-related issues.\nMarket Research: Track specialty and bulk chemical pricing, supplier developments, raw material trends, and alternative sourcing opportunities.\nReporting & Documentation: Maintain supplier databases, quotation comparisons, sourcing reports, negotiation records, and procurement\ntrackers.\nRequired qualification & experience\nB.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry.\n4-8 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor development.\nPrior experience in the specialty chemicals or bulk chemicals industry is essential.\nExperience working with chemical manufacturers, trading companies, or chemical sourcing networks.\nGood understanding of chemical products, supplier capabilities, pricing structures, and commercial terms.\nHands-on experience with RFQs, price benchmarking, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiations.\nStrong coordination, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple sourcing requirements and work effectively with cross-functional teams.\nShare CV -
