The role will involve managing requirements under the Factories Act and applicable Maharashtra rules, MPCB requirements, statutory licenses and registrations, employee safety requirements, contractual compliances and other applicable laws.\nThe position will act as the key coordination point between Plant Operations, Production, Quality, SCM, EHS, Legal, HR, Finance, external consultants and government authorities to ensure that all compliances are identified, implemented, documented and renewed within prescribed timelines.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Statutory & Factory Compliance\nEnsure compliance with the Factories Act and applicable Maharashtra Factories Rules and other applicable labour, safety and manufacturing regulations.\nMaintain and periodically update all statutory registers, records, notices, returns and prescribed documentation.\nCoordinate statutory inspections, audits and visits by government/department officials.\nTrack observations, notices and compliance directions and ensure timely closure.\n\n2. MPCB & Environmental Compliance\nEnsure compliance with applicable Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) requirements, consents, authorisations and conditions.\nTrack validity and renewal of CTE, CTO and other environmental permissions/authorisations.\nCoordinate with EHS, Operations, Production and consultants for environmental monitoring, returns, reports and regulatory submissions.\nEnsure timely implementation and closure of conditions stipulated in regulatory approvals.\n\n3. Licenses, Registrations & Certifications\nMaintain a comprehensive License & Compliance Master Tracker covering all plant licenses, registrations, permissions, approvals and certifications.\nMonitor expiry dates and initiate renewal processes well in advance.\nCoordinate applications for new licenses, amendments, expansions and modifications arising from changes in plant operations.\nEnsure that all licenses and certificates are displayed/maintained as required by law.\n\n4. Employee Safety & Statutory Safety Compliance\nCoordinate with EHS and plant teams to ensure compliance with statutory employee safety requirements.\nEnsure required safety certifications, inspections, registers, training records and statutory reports are maintained.\nTrack statutory requirements relating to safety equipment, emergency preparedness, occupational safety and workplace conditions.\n\n5. Contract & Agreement Management\nMaintain a database of all statutory, operational and commercial contracts/agreements applicable to the plant.\nMonitor expiry and renewal dates and initiate renewal well in advance.\nCoordinate with Legal, SCM, Operations and respective stakeholders for execution, amendment and renewal of agreements.\nEnsure contractual compliance obligations are tracked and fulfilled.\n\n6. Compliance Monitoring & Audits\nDevelop and maintain a plant-level compliance calendar with clear responsibility, due dates and status.\nConduct periodic compliance reviews and internal audits.\nIdentify compliance gaps and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.\nEscalate critical, overdue or high-risk compliance issues to management.\nMaintain proper documentary evidence for every compliance activity.\n\n7. Coordination with Internal & External Stakeholders\nCoordinate closely with Legal, Operations, Production, QC, SCM, EHS, HR, Finance and Corporate Compliance teams.\nLiaise with external legal/regulatory consultants for interpretation and implementation of applicable requirements.\nCoordinate with government departments and regulatory officials for inspections, applications, renewals and approvals.\nFollow up with stakeholders to ensure compliance activities are completed within defined timelines.\n\n8.
