We are backed by Accel, Bertelsmann India Investments, 3one4 Capital and Omnivore.\nAbout the role :\nWe are looking for a Manager - ESG & Sustainability to build and manage Scimplify’s ESG reporting and sustainability processes end-to-end.\nThis is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who can build the ESG reporting capability from the ground up-bringing together data from multiple functions, establishing reporting processes, identifying relevant disclosures, preparing sustainability reporting, maintaining supporting documentation, and coordinating with external consultants, auditors and assurance partners.\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ESG reporting and sustainability disclosures, while being comfortable working closely with business and functional teams to collect, validate and consolidate data.\nKey responsibilities\nESG Reporting & Disclosures\nSet up and manage the company’s end-to-end ESG reporting process.\nLead the preparation of Scimplify’s initial sustainability / ESG report.\nIdentify and map relevant ESG disclosures, reporting requirements and applicable frameworks.\nDevelop and maintain ESG reporting calendars, data templates, processes and documentation.\nEnsure ESG disclosures are supported by appropriate data, evidence and documentation.\nContinuously improve the quality, accuracy and consistency of ESG reporting.\nSG Data Management\nConsolidate ESG data across multiple functions and business units.\nEstablish processes for ESG data collection, validation, reconciliation and reporting.\nTrack and report key environmental metrics including:Energy consumption\nWater consumption\nWaste generation and disposal\nGreenhouse gas emissions\nScope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions\n\nIdentify data gaps and work with respective stakeholders to strengthen data quality and reporting processes.\nSocial & Governance Metrics\nCoordinate collection and reporting of relevant social metrics, including:Employee-related metrics\nDiversity and inclusion indicators\nHealth & Safety metrics\nTraining and development\nEmployee practices and other relevant social disclosures\nCoordinate with Finance, HR, Legal and other stakeholders on relevant governance and compliance indicators.\n\nCross-functional Collaboration\nWork closely with teams across the organization, including:\nR&D | Procurement | Supply Chain | CMO/Manufacturing Operations | EHS | HR | Finance | Legal\nDrive timely collection and validation of ESG information from respective functions.\nWork with Procurement and Supply Chain teams on supplier sustainability and ESG-related data.\nPartner with Manufacturing/CMO and EHS teams on environmental, energy, emissions, waste and safety data.\nCollaborate with HR on employee and social metrics.\nCoordinate with Finance and Legal on relevant governance, compliance and reporting requirements.\nAudit, Assurance & External Stakeholder Management\nCoordinate with external ESG consultants, auditors and assurance partners.\nPrepare supporting documents and evidence required for ESG audits and assurance exercises.\nFacilitate responses to auditor/assurance partner queries and ensure timely closure of observations.\nMaintain a structured repository of ESG data, calculations, methodologies and supporting documentation.\nESG Framework & Process Building\nHelp establish Scimplify’s ESG reporting architecture, processes and governance mechanisms from the ground up.\nDevelop standard operating processes and ownership matrices for ESG data collection and reporting.\nIdentify opportunities to improve ESG performance measurement, data systems and reporting efficiency.\nStay updated on evolving ESG reporting frameworks, disclosure requirements and sustainability reporting practices.\nPreferred Profile\nWe are particularly looking for a hands-on ESG generalist who has experience across multiple aspects of ESG reporting and sustainability.\nThe ideal candidate should be comfortable building processes from scratch, working with diverse stakeholders, consolidating data, preparing disclosures and managing reporting/assurance requirements.\nCandidates with a purely strategy-focused ESG background or highly specialized experience in only one ESG domain may not be the ideal fit for this
