The ideal candidate will combine technical understanding of chemicals with strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, supplier relationship management, and team leadership capabilities.\nKey responsibilities\nCategory Sourcing & Strategy: Develop and execute category-wise sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements, cost objectives,\nquality standards, and supply continuity.\nSupplier Network Development: Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop suppliers, manufacturers, and trading partners across India and\ninternational markets.\nCommercial Negotiations: Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, credit periods, minimum order quantities, lead times, logistics, and other\ncommercial conditions.\nStrategic Sourcing & Enterprise Deals: Identify and execute high-value sourcing opportunities, negotiate long-term contracts, and establish\nstrategic partnerships with key suppliers.\nCost Optimization: Drive cost savings through supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, market intelligence, price benchmarking, and\nimproved procurement terms.\nSupplier Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with key suppliers, monitor supplier performance, and ensure adherence to\nquality, delivery, pricing, and service commitments.\nMarket Intelligence: Track chemical market trends, raw material price movements, supply-demand dynamics, import-export developments, and\nemerging sourcing opportunities.\nCross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Quality, Finance, and other internal teams to\nunderstand demand and ensure timely procurement.\nRisk & Supply Continuity: Develop alternate supplier options, assess supply risks, and establish sourcing plans to mitigate price volatility and\nsupply disruptions.\nTeam Leadership: Lead and mentor a sub-team, establish sourcing priorities, monitor performance, and drive accountability against sourcing\nand cost-saving targets.\nRequired qualifications & experience\nB.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry;
