In this role, you will ensure that software development activities comply with industry standards, certification requirements and internal quality processes, helping bring mission-critical products to market.\nThis position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in DO-178C software assurance, while gradually broadening your scope towards hardware DO-254 and overall product quality processes.\nYour responsibilities\nAs a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you act as a trusted quality partner for R&D teams throughout the software development lifecycle.\nYou will oversee compliance with development and certification standards, perform independent reviews, support audits, and help teams continuously improve their engineering processes.\nYou ensure compliance with software development and quality assurance processes for avionics products.\n\nYou review and approve software lifecycle documentation in line with DO-178C requirements.\n\nYou support software certification activities and customer audits.\n\nYou perform independent assessments of software development activities and deliverables.\n\nYou facilitate quality reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback to engineering teams.\n\nYou support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nYou contribute to lessons learned activities and process optimization.\n\nYou develop and deliver training on software quality and certification practices.\n\nYou collaborate closely with software engineers, project managers, certification specialists, and customers.\n\nYou report to Quality and Certifying Manager.\n\nRequirements\nYour profile\nYou hold a Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electronics, or a related field.\n\nYou have experience in software development, software quality assurance, or certification environments.\n\nYou have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and development lifecycles.\n\nYou have experience working with C and/or Python.\n\nYou have e strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.\n\nExperience with DO-178C is a nice asset, or in regulated software environments such as automotive (ISO 26262), medical devices (IEC 62304).\n\nIf you are familiar with EASA, FAA or military aviation standards it’s a plus.\n\nKnowledge of Aviation Regulation (Part 21 and Part 145) is an advantage.\n\nYou have experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or EN9100/AS9100.\n\nYou have audit or review experience.\n\nYou have knowledge of modern software development and requirements management tools.\n\nYou work autonomously within a structured framework.\n\nYou can interact with highly skilled technical experts.\n\nYou have excellent communication skills in English and ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.
