This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant material support for systems preparing for deployment or undergoing maintenance. The Logistician will manage warehouse inventory, oversee PHS&T activities, coordinate provisioning actions, and work directly with vendors and subcontractors to repair or replace parts.\nKey Responsibilities\nManaging all warehouse inventory activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking materials and components\nPlanning and executing Packing, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) tasks to ensure safe and compliant movement of equipment and parts\nSupporting provisioning by identifying required parts, maintaining material availability, and coordinating supply actions for systems going underway\nInterfacing with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate repairs, replacements, and material returns\nMaintaining accurate documentation, material records, and system updates within logistics databases and ERP/WMS systems\nSupporting forecasting, demand planning, and replenishment strategies\nEnsuring compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory requirements\nProviding on-site logistics support in a warehouse/industrial environment\n#LI-KM1\nFILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON AWARD\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related discipline\nThree plus years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or warehouse management\nExperience with inventory control systems and warehouse processes\nAbility to coordinate packing, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T) activities\nFamiliarity with provisioning processes for technical systems or equipment\nExperience working with vendors, subcontractors, and repair facilities\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills\nProficiency with standard logistics software platforms (CMPRO, NERP, etc.)\nEligibility to work in Japan (existing visa or ability to be sponsored)\nDesired Skills\nExperience supporting defense, maritime, or technical system programs\nKnowledge of U.S. Government or DoD logistics processes\nFamiliarity with export/import documentation and compliance requirements\nStrong understanding of material lifecycle management and supply pipeline processes\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, maintenance requirements, and part specs\nExperience with vendor performance tracking and supplier quality management\nLean or Six Sigma certification\nAbility to work independently in a remote or distributed team environment\nClearance Information\nSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET.\nTravel Requirements\nN/A\nAbout Us\nScientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
