Applicants that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.\nSciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Accounts Payable Manager to oversee daily operations of the accounts payable department, supervising staff, ensure compliance with government regulations and internal policies, maintain accurate financial records, and drive improvements and efficiency with automation and workflow optimization. This role also owns the AP close process and ensures adherence to accounting, government standards, and internal controls.\nReports to\nController\nResponsibilities\nManage the day-to-day Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices and payments are reviewed, coded, processed accurately and timely.\nSupervise, mentor, and coordinate the workload of the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.\nOwn the monthly AP close process, including preparing AP accruals, analyzing AP aging, and preparing AP-related journal entries and supporting schedules.\nManage the Accounts Payable inbox and serve as a primary point of contact for vendor, program, and internal inquiries. Ensure all AP vouchers have complete and accurate supporting documentation, proper approvals, correct project/account/organization coding, and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.\nOversee auditing and processing of employee travel expense reports in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and SciTec travel policies.\nManage the entering of AP regular and auto pay vouchers, expense reports, and company paid AMEX statements into our Deltek Costpoint Accounting system.\nOversee the entering, tracking, and accuracy of Purchase Orders into our Material Management System.\nEnsure 1099 reporting compliance.\nMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and internal policies and procedures.\nPrepare documentation and respond to inquiries for internal, external, and government audits.\nIdentify, recommend, and implement improvements to AP processes, policies, system controls, and workflows to strengthen compliance and enhance operational efficiency.\nDrive efficiency through automation by reducing manual touchpoints, improving process flows, and optimizing the use of Deltek Costpoint AP functionality.\nPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the accounting department and organization objectives.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field with accounting courses\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing or supervising multiple employees within an accounting department\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\nThorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office software\nStrong ability to multi-task and work under pressure\nStrong organizational skills\nDetail oriented with ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with a high level of discretion\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nCandidates who have the following skills will be preferred\nCAPA (Certified Accounts Payable Associate) or CAPP (Certified Accounts Payable Professional)\nExperience using Deltek Costpoint or similar GovCon specific\nGovCon accounting experience\nExperience with Federal Travel Regulations\nExperience with AP automation tools such as FloQast, OCR invoice capture, digital workflows, vendor portals, electronic payments, or automated 1099 processing.\nBenefits\nSciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:\nSciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:\n4% Safe Harbor 401(k) match\n100% company paid HSA medical insurance, with a choice of 2 buy-up options\n80% company paid dental insurance\n100% company paid vision insurance\n100% company paid life insurance\n100% company paid long-term disability insurance\n100% company paid hospital indemnity insurance\nVoluntary accident and critical illness insurance\nShort-term disability insurance\nAnnual profit-sharing plan\nDiscretionary performance bonus\nPaid parental leave\nGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO), including holidays, vacation, and sick pay\nFlexible work hours\nThe pay range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 per year.
