Applicants will need to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.\nSciTec is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist for an agile, developing program executed from our Boulder, CO office. This role is responsible for providing security insight to program leadership, guidance to security team members regarding upcoming program events, and assisting in facility compliance requirements.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide general oversight of all assigned security requirements\nReview and maintain security documents and standard operating procedures\nCommunicate security requirements to program leadership to enable successful program planning\nAssist with enforcement of personnel security controls for visitors and un-cleared personnel requiring entry to the facility\nConduct periodic self-inspections and implement corrective actions\nImplement local media/document control policies and procedures\nConduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards.\nProcess and maintain accountability for classified documents and magnetic media\nReview and create Subcontractor DD254s\nEnsure the proper marking of all classified materials, adhering to handling and storage regulations\nProvide security briefings, training, and security education materials\nLiaison to government security representatives\nCoordinate with and support the local security team to maintain site compliance\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements\nActive Secret DoD security clearance on start date with the ability to obtain a TS clearance \n 1 year of professional experience supporting a government contract in an industrial security role\n Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals and other guiding policy documents\n Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative, requiring minimal supervision\n Experience coordinating with and advising program managers, contracting, and program security officers on security requirements to ensure they are addressed, accurately captured, and DD254s are staffed and signed by applicable authorities\n Previous DoD Contractor experience\n Detail Oriented\n Good verbal and written communication skills\n Physical Requirements:\n Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and climb ladders \n Ability to lift up to 40 pounds\n Preferred Requirements:\n 2+ years prior Industrial Security experience\n Knowledge of DoD 5200.01 V1-4, ICD 704, ICD 705, & 32 CFR Part 117\n Experience in managing NISS, DISS, SC and similar systems\n *Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment.\nColorado Residents: In any materials you submit, you may redact or remove age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation.
