Applicants that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.\nNOTE: This role is contingent upon contract award.\nWe are seeking a Senior Staff / Senior Algorithm Software Engineer with a passion to design, develop, and deliver high-performance algorithms applied to complex raw data feeds for image processing. Additionally, this role focuses on enhancing existing novel R&D algorithms working closely with scientific and technical users in a mission-focused environment.\nThe ideal candidate is a strong contributor with deep Python, Rust, and C++ expertise utilizing sound software engineering judgment, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines while influencing technical direction through example and mentorship.\nResponsibilities\nLead the research, development, and maturation of advanced numerical algorithms for image processing and data exploitation, including detection, tracking, estimation, clutter suppression, and processing.\nDesign, implement, and optimize high-performance tracking algorithms in Python, Rust, and C++, with emphasis on scalability, latency reduction, and robustness for operational missions.\nDevelop and tune Kalman filtering, tracking, and data exploitation algorithms in Python, Rust, and C++.\nDevelop and optimize Resource Management algorithms based on mission requirements\nArchitect and develop end to end processing pipelines, from raw data ingest through processing chains, feature extraction, tracking, and production deployment in mission environments.\nExperience employing Cuda and its ecosystem for libraries\nRequirements\nActive Top Secret security clearance \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related technical field\n8+ years of professional software engineering experience\n5+ years of experience implementing Kalman or particle filtering\nProficient in Python, Rust, and C++ for algorithm development and tuning\nExperience writing and maintaining automated tests\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, well-tested code\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines\nCandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:\n PhD in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field\nActive TS/SCI security clearance\nExperience working with remotely sensed data or scientific data processing workflows\nExperience working with Computer Vision algorithms and libraries for feature recognition and typing\nExperience working in Agile software development environments and using task scheduling and tracking software (e.g., JIRA)\n*Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment\nColorado Residents: In any materials you submit, you may redact or remove age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation.
