With the influx of infrastructure funding, Weston & Sampson is continually looking to expand our transportation practice with highly talented and passionate professionals.\nYou will be part of a team of nearly a dozen engineers who focus on roadway and highway design, traffic engineering and transportation planning, and stormwater, hydraulics and permitting. You will work closely with Project Managers and Team Leaders who will mentor you and guide you to success with your career at Weston & Sampson.\nWhat you’ll do:\nOpportunity with a variety of projects including roadway design along municipal and state highways, intersection improvements such as roundabouts and signalized intersections, streetscape, multi-use pathways, ADA enhancements, bridge projects, and drainage improvement projects\nBe flexible in terms of handling multiple and wide range of assignments \nResponsible for carrying out all design tasks of a project including roadway geometry and plans, estimates, technical specifications, and reports while adhering to the project scope, budget, and schedule\nDirect contact with Clients, supporting the Project Manager with response to correspondence and meeting preparation, attendance, and presentations\nOpportunity to present at public information meetings and municipal meetings (i.e. inland wetlands)\nMentor and assist staff engineers \nActive involvement with professional organizations such as CSCE, ACEC, ITE, WTS, etc. is encouraged to enhance relationships with peers.\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering\nMaster of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering a plus \nLicensed Professional Engineer in either MA, NH, CT (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months)\nNCEES Record a plus\nProficiency in Autocad Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads is required; experience in both is a plus\nExperience with HydroCAD or StormCAD a plus \nEstablished relationships with CTDOT and CT Municipalities a plus\nExperience in the use of the relevant CTDOT Design Manuals and AASHTO Green Book\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and organization and time management skills required \nValid driver’s license\nPay Range: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 depending on experience\nOverview\nWeston & Sampson is an 100% employee-owned, full-service environmental and infrastructure consulting firm made up of more than 800 professionals, who work together to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for our clients.
