Come join us and become a part of our winning formula!\nDistribution (Day Shift - 1st Shift)\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDetermine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.\nDirect staff on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.\nAssign duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and adherence to policies and procedures.\nEstablish and manage processes for designated distribution department activities including receipt and shipment of goods; handling and disposition of materials; and maintaining of perpetual inventory records with a focus on continuous efficiency improvements and minimization of deliver times to manufacturing, while maintaining a high level of safety.\nMaintain physical condition of SCN BestCo warehouses, satellite warehouses, and equipment according to 5S and cGMP procedures for maintenance and repair.\nParticipate in SCN BestCo's recycling program, liquid, and solid waste disposal.\nOversee all inventory transactions that take place in distribution (i.e., finished goods receipts, purchase orders receipts, inventory movement transactions from stores to assembly locations and vice versa, movement of good stock to nonconformance).\nReview inventory records and oversee cycle counts, inventory corrections, and make inventory adjustments.\nInvestigates and traces history of inventory issues and material variances recommend warehouses to determine root cause of discrepancies between inventory control records and recommends remedial actions and process improvements.\nOrganizes and leads year-end inventory for WIP and all materials at SCN BestCo warehouses.\nCollects and reports on statistical data and key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as needed.\nConducts daily/weekly meetings with department heads to ensure that all materials required for production are delivered timely and efficiently and to identify potential roadblocks and deficiencies.\nWill be required to travel between Mazeppa and surrounding DCs, dependent on department needs. (Less than 10 miles)\n\nPeople Leader Responsibilities\n\nThe Distribution Supervisor will carry out People Leader Responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:\nHire, train, schedule, coach, support, and develop Distribution employees.\nProvide task direction to team members and On the Job Training (OJT) for new hires (Onboarding).\nMotivate team to improve productivity. Oversee team/employee development.\nDelegate tasks and set deadlines while providing feedback on those tasks.\nListen to team members' feedback and resolve/report any issues or conflicts.\nConduct performance reviews and manage individual performance.\nRecommend personnel actions (pay adjustments, promotions, transfers, terminations).\nCommunicate personnel actions following HR and Dept Head approval.\nEnsure safety and quality standards are enforced and met.\nPlan organizational structure, position content, and staffing levels.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree business, logistics, supply chain, or related, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.\n4 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.\nDemonstrated leadership experience.\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):\nWorking knowledge of cGMP and 21 CFR\nWorking knowledge of 5S workplace organization methods.\nDemonstrated trouble shooting ability, excellent attendance and safety record, strong work ethic.\nProven ability to delegate and motivate teams.\nSelf-Motivated with a high degree of personal integrity and strong sense of urgency coupled with the ability to prioritize requirements and activities.\nResults driven, proactive, production and quality oriented.\nCommitment to hygiene, quality, and cGMP practices.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, utilize time efficiently, and multi-task in an ever changing, fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced, team oriented, ever-changing manufacturing environment.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\n\nMust have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.\nMust be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
