Come join us and become a part of our winning formula!\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:\nRespond rapidly to all production breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency.\nLayout and perform complex machining operation on replacement parts using lathes, milling machines drills and surface grinders.\nInterpret blueprints, sketches or other specs.\nDiagnose and remedy machine faults, determine necessary repairs, strip and reassemble.\nInstall plant processing equipment including copper, stainless steel, plastic and iron pipefitting.\nTrouble shoot and repair vacuum, centrifugal, diaphragm, gear and reciprocating pumps\nInspect all plant equipment and machinery for proper lubrication and perform other preventive maintenance.\nWeld metal objects together by means of tig, oxyacetylene, brazing or arc welder apparatus.\nPerform simple adjustments, repairs or replacements on motors, controls, on electrical equipment.\nFollow SCN BestCo’s LOTO Policy and procedures to ensure that machines or equipment are isolated from all potentially hazardous energy before performing cleaning, service or maintenance activities where they may be an unexpected energization, start-up, or release of stored energy.\nLearn machine operating and maintenance requirements of all production machines and equipment\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nStrong mechanical troubleshooting skills, basic electrical, welding and pipe-fitting skills\nTechnical understanding\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nGood writing, reading and math skills\nAbility to communicate clearly and accurately with peers, managers, and productions staff\nA sound knowledge of strengths and mechanical properties of materials\nAbility to use common precision measuring instruments, gauges and hand tools\nSupply a quality set of standard and metric size mechanic’s tools\nUnderstanding of proper lubrication techniques\nAbility to work accurately;
