Team members are distributed across the globe with hubs in Bengaluru, Tel Aviv, Barcelona, among others\nWhat You’ll Do\nWrite, maintain, and execute test cases for studio games across mobile and web platforms, covering a broad range of devices, operating systems, and browsers.\nPerform functional and non-functional testing of mobile applications, including network traffic, API responses, and log analysis.\nCollaborate closely with Scrum teams, Producers, Developers, and QA Leads/Managers to ensure releases meet high quality standards.\nCommunicate proactively with Developers and business stakeholders during defect triage to reduce defect ageing and drive timely resolution.\nConduct root cause analysis for defects and provide corrective and preventive action plans.\nWork effectively in an Agile environment to support timely and high-quality product delivery.\nIdentify quality trade-offs, project risks, and appropriate mitigation strategies.\nDevelop a detailed understanding of studio games, including gameplay flows, player journeys, edge cases, and game-specific scenarios.\nCreate and maintain QA documentation, including test cases, test plans, test reports, training material, and process documentation.\nMentor junior QA team members and support their technical and domain growth.\nPartner with the QA Lead to continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and release quality.\nSupport team coordination and delivery in the absence of the QA Lead.\nWhat We're Looking For\n4-7 years of experience in software testing, preferably across mobile, web, or gaming products.\nStrong familiarity with mobile and web platforms from a QA perspective.\nGood understanding of client-server architecture, APIs, application data flow, and network debugging.\nHands-on experience in test design, test execution, defect reporting, regression testing, and risk-based testing.\nStrong exploratory testing skills, with the ability to select the right test approach based on feature complexity and risk.\nExperience using QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, Charles Proxy, Fiddler, browser developer tools, or similar tools.\nAbility to create clear and comprehensive QA documentation, including test cases, test plans, test reports, and training material.\nGood understanding of software testing processes, SDLC/STLC, and Agile methodologies.\nBasic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.\nStrong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.\nBonus Points \nExperience testing mobile games, web games, or live-service products.\nPassion for gaming, with a genuine interest in playing and understanding casual games.\nStrong gaming mindset, including an understanding of player behaviour, engagement mechanics, progression, rewards, and LiveOps.\nPrior experience testing Slots, Casino, or other real-money/social casino-style games.\nExposure to test automation frameworks and AI-driven testing approaches.\nAbout Scopely\nScopely is a leading video game and global interactive entertainment company, home to many of the world’s most beloved and enduring experiences, including two of the most successful mobile games of all-time “MONOPOLY GO!” and “Pokémon GO,” along with “Stumble Guys,” “Star Trek™ Fleet Command,” “MARVEL Strike Force,” “WWE Champions,” the Scrabble® franchise, “Yahtzee® With Buddies,” and many others.
