Senior Software Developer

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Python and Django to build scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have experience designing RESTful APIs, working with PostgreSQL databases, deploying applications on AWS, and implementing Vector Databases for AI-powered search or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) use cases.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Design efficient PostgreSQL database schemas and optimise queries.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS.
• Implement and optimise Vector Database solutions for semantic search and AI applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Optimise application performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.

Requirements:

• Must-Have Skills: Python, Django / Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, AWS (EC2 ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3 RDS, IAM, CloudWatch), Vector Databases (e. g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, pgvector, ChromaDB), REST APIs & Microservices, Git, Docker, CI/CD.
• Good-to-Have Skills: FastAPI, Redis, Celery, Kubernetes, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, AI/LLM integration, RAG, LangChain/LlamaIndex.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5-10 years of backend software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
