initiatives.\nOrganize and support the further development of the Expenses Accounting team \nCollaborate closely with the two Team Leads responsible for the EMEA and APAC/US perimeters, ensuring alignment of priorities, workload, and service delivery.\nManage Expenses Accounting activities for the US, APAC, and selected EMEA entities, in coordination with Procurement, Reporting & Closing, Cost Control, Expenses Performance and other Finance teams based in US and APAC.\nEnsure that processes, procedures, and controls are efficient, harmonized, and consistently applied across the entities within scope. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and automation of expense accounting processes across the supported regions.\n People leadership and team development:\nLead, coach, and develop an international team, creating clarity around responsibilities, priorities, and expected results.\nSet individual and team objectives and monitor performance against agreed service and quality indicators.\nSupport succession planning, knowledge transfer, and capability development across the team.\nFoster collaboration, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement across locations.\nManage workload and capacity across the supported regions, addressing risks and competing priorities.\nProvide regular feedback and support employee engagement and professional development.\nPartner with the Team Leads to ensure consistent management practices and effective communication across the organization.\nOperational activities:\nPayment-run governance, controls, timely execution, and resolution of escalated issues.\nTimely reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions, ensuring resolution of outstanding differences in line with the closing calendar.\nOversee and support period-end closing activities related to expense accounting, including accruals, prepayments, and related controls.\nEnsure accurate and timely preparation of VAT and other relevant statutory declarations in compliance with local legal requirements and deadlines.\nEnsure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and delegated authorities across all accounts payable activities.\nAccounts Receivable:\nEnsure appropriate monitoring, collection, and escalation of overdue receivables.\nMonitor receivable balances and drive timely resolution of outstanding items.\nOversee the assessment and monitoring of allowances for doubtful accounts.\nFixed Assets Accounting:\nEnsure appropriate governance over asset creation, capitalization, useful-life determination, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and retirements.\nOversee the accuracy and completeness of fixed-asset accounting and depreciation processes.\nOversee fixed-asset inventories and ensure the timely resolution of discrepancies.\nSupplier and Customer Master Data Management:\nOversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of supplier and customer master data.\nEnsure account reconciliations are performed accurately and timely, with appropriate escalation of unreconciled items.\nEnsure accurate VAT accounting records and timely preparation of information required for statutory declarations.\nMaintain effective controls to ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.\nFinance Transformation and Continuous Improvement:\nLead and support initiatives aimed at harmonizing, standardizing, and automating expense accounting processes across regions.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, reduce manual activities, and improve service quality.\nContribute to the evolution of the target operating model for expense accounting.\nPromote collaboration, inclusion, and knowledge sharing within a multicultural and internationally distributed organization.\nService Delivery and Stakeholder Management:\nEnsure the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and efficient accounting services to internal clients and stakeholders.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with Finance teams, local CFOs, Cost Control, shared services providers, and external partners.\nCollaborate closely with other Finance leaders to drive alignment, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\nFoster a client-focused culture and ensure that service delivery meets agreed expectations and service levels.\nAct as the primary escalation point for significant operational, service, or stakeholder issues.\nThe Expenses Accounting Manager is accountable for ensuring:\nTimely, accurate, and compliant financial closing across the supported entities.\nCompliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards.\nStable, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and related accounting processes.\nStandardization, harmonization, and automation of processes across regions to improve efficiency and reduce manual activities.\nEffective management of internal stakeholders, external providers, and cross-functional relationships.\nDevelopment, engagement, and succession planning of a high-performing accounting team.\nContinuous improvement of operational performance, controls, and customer satisfaction.\nSuccess in this role will be evaluated through a combination of operational, people, and transformation objectives, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field\n\n7 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, including demonstrated experience in leading teams or coordinating complex international accounting operations\n\nStrong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, VAT, closing activities, and financial controls\n\nExperience working across multiple entities, countries, or locations\n\nStrong stakeholder-management and communication capabilities\n\nAbility to manage competing priorities and tight closing deadlines\n\nFluency in English\n\nPreferred experience\nExperience in insurance, reinsurance, or another regulated financial-services environment\n\nExperience in a shared-services, global-business-services, or regional finance organization\n\nKnowledge of SAP and related finance systems\n\nExperience with process standardization, automation, and finance transformation\n\nExperience managing external service providers\n\nKey
