This role is crucial for ensuring that architecture decisions align with Fraud strategic goals and technical requirements, thereby driving innovation and excellence in application development and deployment.\nIs this role right for you?\nChampions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.\nParticipating in design discussions focused on scalability, design and implementation of best practices.\nDesigning architectural solutions, roadmaps and related strategies that are aligned to Enterprise Standards in the effort to modernization software applications.\nPresent and leverage technical information and solutions in a way that establishes trust relationships, persuades stakeholders and achieves understanding and consensus at all levels.\nAssess and analyze business strategy & requirements, the current technical environment and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs and bank strategy.\nEnsure all solutions comply with security standards, such as PCI compliance for data tokenization.\nLead technical/design sessions and discussions, ensuring alignment with Fraud strategic goals and technical requirement.\nDriving innovation that can bring business values, participating in building Proof of Concepts. \nPartner with multiple teams Bank wide to collaborate on strategy and direction and apply to architecture and application design.\nMaintain detailed documentation of architecture decisions, project plans, and operational procedures.\nDevelop and maintain architecture decisions, ensuring optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.\nOversee migration and deployment projects, including those associated with any transition to new data processing or ML-Ops technologies.\nChampions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. \nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?\nGeneral Qualification:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline\n7+ years of software engineering industry experience. \n5+ years of experience in architecture design processes, creating reference architectures and architecture artifacts that guide design decisions related to applications, data, integration and infrastructure.\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build and foster relationships with business partners, project stakeholders, strategic technology partners and external vendors.\nExperience:\n Cloud Computing:Enriched experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure PCF, including managing resources and optimizing costs.\nData processing tools/concepts such as Pub/Sub, Dataflows, Big Query, Cloud Storage, Kafka, MongoDB, Apache Flink, etc.\nHands-on experience in the system analysis, design, architecture of complex, multi-tier development & production environmentsinvolving:\n\nMicroservices design\nEvent driven architecture\nETL and data solutions\nDomain driven design techniques\nCloud platforms deployment\nSystem resiliency engineering\nAgile practices applied to a product team\n\nSecurity:Strong understanding of data security protocols, including encryption and tokenization.\nExperience ensuring compliance with security standards, including PCI compliance for data handling.\n\nProject Management:Demonstrated ability to manage complex migration and deployment projects.\nProven experience leading technical sessions and making architecture decisions.\n\nCollaboration:Experience working with diverse teams, including analytics, cloud operations, and cybersecurity.\nExcellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\n\nDocumentation:Strong background in maintaining detailed documentation of technical decisions and project plans.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertifications: Relevant cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Architect.\nIndustry Knowledge: Familiarity with fraud detection and prevention systems and technologies.\n\nWhat's in it for you?\nDiversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
