You will be exposed to a wide range of businesses both internally and externally, then leveraging Scotiabank’s strong technology base, build and develop on strategic, forward-looking infrastructure.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDay-to-Day\nLead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements ensuring all the decisions and requirements changes are properly captured\nCollaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams across the bank as well as external partners to deliver the end-to-end solution\nTranslate complex business needs into clear and concise functional requirements and user stories\nFacilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements\nContribute to design and optimization of payment processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements\nSupport scrum master and project manager in planning, scoping, and impact analysis for initiatives\nPerform gap analysis, root cause assessments, and release readiness reviews for payment system enhancements or upgrades\nAct as a subject matter expert (SME) for payment-related projects and operational improvements as well as SWIFT connectivity.\nMonitor post-implementation performance and incident resolution\nMust be able to work within tight deadlines and schedules which may result in extended working hours during peak time to meet project deliverables\nMentor and coach less experienced team members\nSupport various portfolio initiatives where possible\nChampion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge\nChampion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment\nExperience and willingness to execute various test cycles\nWhat You'll Bring:\nManage and support SWIFT payment flows (MT and MX formats)\nExperience with ISO 20022 standards.\nSolid understanding of payment processing lifecycle and reconciliation processes.\nExperience working with banks, fintechs, or financial institutions.\nStrong expertise in business process mapping, requirements gathering & documenting and system analysis\nCore analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail\nAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, translating complex information into clear insights\nAbility to conduct gap analysis on different payment standards\nStrong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the bank\nAbility to quickly adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nAbility to proactively identify project risks and contribute to overall project health and success\nProficiency in using Jira / Confluence/ MS Office\nPayments Domain Knowledge in SWIFT, Fedwire and ISO 20022 is an asset\nExperience working in Agile project methodology\nProfessional English proficiency (written and spoken).\nNice to have:\nKnowledge of SQL.\nExperience working with databases.\nExperience building dashboards or reports using Power BI.\nExperience with APIs (REST/SOAP) and XML message structures.\nPrevious participation in large-scale payment transformation projects.\nWhat's in it for you?\nYou’ll join a team focused on building cloud platforms as products, enabling delivery teams across the enterprise rather than acting as a centralized gatekeeper or operating within a narrow delivery focus.
